I think the main thing is that, if I met a chick and there was a definite connection and after a while it felt like this was the woman I'd wanna raise a family with, then I couldn't really care less if she looked like May. Being extremely picky and looking for "THE ONE!!!" is one of the things wrong with modernity and society, all while this woman or man is never going to show up and you'll die a miserable loner.
A lot of children have a tendency to look a lot better physically than either one of their parents anyway.
