Diane Deans legitimately scares me because she is good reminder that people like her are the ones who are making the decisions for us.
There are people out there in power just like her: insane, delusional, vile, and if the right opportunity presents itself extremely dangerous.

The true irony is had she worn a mask at all times she probably would have been targeted a whole lot less as fewer people would recognize her and call her out.

Also, comparing the convoy to a tornado is possibly the worst analogy she could have used.
  1. A tornado absolutely is a devastating force of nature that always leaves a trail of destruction where ever it goes. Uprooted trees, upturned vehicles, and missing homes are par of the course and the convoy up until now can't shine a candle to the smallest percentage of devastation that a tornado would leave behind in its wake.
  2. You can't stop a tornado. It will come and do it's damage regardless of how that makes you feel. And if it's coming every week then that is just life and you have to learn to deal with it.
  3. The only way to deal with a tornado, is to evacuate the area.

It is truly disgusting how redditors view the concept of freedoms and rights. To them somebody (either them or the government, who will always rule correctly) needs to weigh people's rights on a scale vs the benefits for the collective bughive. And if they think people's rights don't actively benefit the collective, it is okay to enslave them and deprive them of anything. In the interests of society, or the workers, or the revolution, or whatever else.

Last November, yeah. Difference is now the employees are standing with the protestors. As bad/racist as it might be to say, I'm glad the blue-collars are getting a better idea of how the RCMP operates when dealing with protestors (First Nations or otherwise).

This isn't new, unless you're a working class white person (Sorry white people). The RCMP have been framing people since at least the '90 Oka Crisis openly. They firebomb their own vehicles, blow up pipelines (Weibo Ludwig), and do whatever else is necessary to maintain power. Now everyone knows it. It's about time. The government isn't your friend, they don't care about individuals. We are simply a harvest, meant to stay productive and obedient.
