I'm feeling pretty smug right now. All of the dipshit sjws I know irl are whining about how they can't survive because gas/rent/food is so high.

You know you could have prevented this by voting right? I'm not even necessarily talking about Trump. Any number of the generic white guy Republican or Democrat 2020 candidates would have made a more competent president than Biden.

I got sent a group message about electricity prices going up soon and the urge to shitpost about voting wrong was never higher.

That's ultimately the six million dollar question. Who the hell stands to benefit from this? And I have no idea because it seems like nobody does. There's literally nothing good coming out of this, not unless your aim is a lawless ancap post-nuclear wasteland where you're free to diddle kids in your underground bunker to your heart's content. Sadly, given the sorts of people who seem to be running the show, that might not be an incorrect answer...
Who benefits? The insane super powerful sociopath billionaire class. Sure, they already have enough money and power that they could easily live the rest of their lives completely isolated from consequences, doing all the drugs and child whores they want in their yachts and mansions. Despite having more luxury and choice than anyone before in human history, literally more than they could ever experience or waste within their lifetimes, they want more and they are willing to 'reset' society to get it.

The amount of hubris it takes to wish for the Great Reset plan is boggling. They want to destroy the most stable, prosperous and peaceful system in the history of mankind for the chance to rebuild it in a way that benefits them even more. The sheer arrogance to believe that they would survive the chaos, much less be in a position to rebuild society in their vision is borderline insanity. The entitlement they feel to justify the suffering of billions for their own sake is inhuman. For the people that aren't billionaires but somehow support this, there is no question, they are lost in complete lunacy.

These psychos are mentally incapable of understanding the consequences of their actions and that is terrifying.

Gas prices are still rising, and the news are still admitting it's because of Biden's Russia/Ukraine bullshit

Seems the south has better luck with gas than the north. RIP Commiefornia though, holy fuck.
When you can see state borders in a county map like this, some bullshit is happening. True for election margin maps too.

Prices in my area are up 25 cents in less than a month. #winning

I think the most current strategy D.C. has concocted is that they're going to declare a gas tax holiday to lower prices by like 12 cents or something like that. With the unspoken knowledge that they might never reimplement it.

If you think Soros is doing what he's doing so society can benefit him even more in these last few years of his life.. YNGMI

Do I dare, hope that California manages to hit "Pack of Cigarrete" level of pricing?
We're there already if you count discount cigarettes. Even in the middle of nowhere 400 miles from the bughives gas runs 4.99 a gallon for regular and 5.19 for premium.

E: It's interesting to note that all of the consumable non-essential vices (soda, energy drinks, cigarettes, weed) seem to be unaffected by inflation around here. They're practically the only things I haven't seen skyrocket in the last year.

The question was who benefits. The motivation of Soros falls into a different question, but the answer is that he's evil and wants to further the goals of his master, Satan, by inflicting misery and harm onto as many people as he can.

On my first (and most likely last) trip to LA not long ago, I spent $90 filling up my rental sedan on the way back to LAX. Maddening doesn’t even begin to describe it.

The autistic push to forcibly phase out gasoline/fossil fuels before their time is up (gasoline generators are now outlawed in CA) is going to ruin that state even more than they’ve already managed, and for what? To virtue signal about how progressive, futuristic, and oh so green they are? This is the end result of climate change fearmongering.

The autists in a state that already experiences rolling blackouts and power generation issues are confident that wind and solar (WITHOUT nuclear) will be perfectly sufficient for their needs. Never mind the fact that such an assumption is laughable and that it takes a century to offset the carbon footprint of manufacturing just one turbine. And we know those turbines are decommissioned well before a century is up.

Should be entertaining when, after sitting in battery-draining traffic for hours, every Californian plugs in their Tesla to charge at the same time. I’m sure the power grid will handle that superbly. But hey, it’s what they voted for.

The motivation + benefit for Soros applies to the class of people you're talking about. It's not about having a society that benefits them more than it already does.

I don't think you can ascribe a single, isolated point of motivation here, to be clear. I don't want us talking past each other, bud. You're right that Soros is probably not strongly motivated by a desire for more money and power, he's in it for the sheer evil of it. On the other paw, you must admit that many of his class are hungry for more power and wealth and that motivation is a significant factor in their choice to destroy the current systems. Actions like what's going on in Canada demonstrate that it is about achieving even more power, completely unnecessarily (they already have enough wealth and power to effectively fulfill almost any degenerate desire) for any aim other than just to revel in megalomaniacal bliss.

The motives of acquiring power/wealth and inflicting suffering aren't in opposition at all, and I submit that the majority of this class are motivated by some combination of the two. The ratio might be hard to discern, except in some cases like Soros, but either way it is evil.

We are on the same page. It reads like I believe the situation is worse or rather more extensive than you do, which is fine.

Look at PA, followed by Nevada and Arizona. There being completely ravanged by Biden's energy policy.

Do you think they got the memo after one year of this?

Also, lol leave California. It's a failed state.

I spent $16 on a pack of cigarettes yesterday. The cashier sounded apologetic when she told me the price. My usual spot has my brand at $12.50 at the moment and that's cheap for my area. Fucking insanity.
You Smokies need to go and protest in DC, I don't smoke, and Ya'll kind of Stink sometimes but...holy shit 16 Dollars for a pack is fucking highway theft.
