Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if a lack of shipping will be a crisis that warrants the continuation of the Emergency Act and they'll force truckers to drive under threat of imprisonment.
And end up with a planned economy where every "essential" profession is likewise conscripted in accordance with "society"'s needs as perceived by the bureaucrat class? I guess Castro would be proud of his alleged bastard.

Does getting arrested count as "giving an inch"? Because at the moment the cops are actively arresting the protestors in Ottawa.
People getting arrested without a struggle or opposition is not a good sign for the future of this protest.
Either prepare to resist or just go home.

We're at about Dec. 15-17 right now.
Dec. 15Father Laszlo Tokes speaks out publicly against Ceausescu in the town of Timisoara. Backed by thousands, the riot police arrived to try and remove Tokes and disperse the crowd. A noisy, and at times bloody, battle ensued in the streets.
Dec. 16Relative calm, as the Securitate and the army were called in to restore order. The United States State Department reacts with, "It looks like Romania's time may have finally come", although the majority of the world still believed that Ceausescu will successfully maintain control.
Dec. 17A huge crowd amassed in Timisoara. The crowd became aggressive and marched on the Communist Headquarters at city hall. The demonstration was severely anti-government, as portraits of Ceausesecu were burned and thrown from the building. Besides tear gas and water cannons the army used tanks and amunition against the crowd. Many people (the exact number is not know) were killed by the army, their dead bodys brought to Bucharest to be cremated.
Dec. 18The Executive Political Committee in Bucharest ordered the army to begin firing real bullets into the demonstrators. Civilian casualties ran high in Timisoara and the dead were collected by the army and either thrown in mass graves or burned.
Dec. 19The resistance continued in western Romania, and the death count rose. The United States condemned the Romanian government for the use of "brutal force". It is believed that some of the army began to switch over to the side of the demonstrators on this day, although that is unconfirmed.
Dec. 20Negotiators from Bucharest were sent to Timisoara, but really only to buy time so that new elite troops could arrive to "crush the rebellion". The Securitate continued firing on demonstrators in the street. Ceausescu arrived home from a visit to Iran and proclaimed martial law. He also blamed the uprising on Hungarian Fascists.
Dec. 21Ceausescu addresses a crowd in Bucharest in a televised speech. Unexpectedly, the crowd became violent and tried to break police lines. A violent clash ensued in which at least 13 youths were killed. Protests began breaking out all over the capitol, and the police began arresting these demonstrators. The crowds refused to disperse and the police used gunfire and armored cars against the people.
Dec. 22Even more demonstrators began to reassemble early in the morning. Huge crowds were locked in a standoff with the army in the main square of Bucharest. Reports of dissidence between Ceausescu and his army caused the crowd to start chanting: "The army is with us!" The crowd offered the soldiers cigarettes and flowers and the battle seemed to be shifting to one between the army and Ceausescu's security police. In a last ditch effort, Ceausescu tried to speak from a balcony, but was shouted down. He and his wife fled the capital and made plans to leave Romania.
Dec. 23The fighting and brutality escalated in the streets, as confusion reigned. Some of the army had switched over to the side of the people and continued to battle security forces. Ceausesce and his wife were captured and returned to Bucharest. Ion Ilescu emerged as a leader of the National Front and made a list of demands on the government.
Dec. 24The army continued to battle and gain on the Securitate in Bucharest. The National Front claimed control of the revolution and established a provisional government. Uncertainty and terror still prevailed in the streets, although it is known that the Ceausescus were tried and shot in a very speedy trial.
Dec. 25The Ceausescu's bodies were exhibited on TV, marking "the end" of these initial stages of revolution. Ceausescu was described as unapologetic and refused to recognize the decision of the courts. Despite this, fighting continued both in the capitol and in Timisoara. It is unclear when complete order was restored and even more unclear when Romania was able to regroup after these 11 days of revolution.

Which would be writing their own end. You need actual qualified people to drive those trucks and you can't compel their service.
You can't literally make them drive.

If they think they can get away with hiring random yahoos to fill the gap, good fucking luck. Here's a fact for from my home state for you: roughly every other day on the LIE, some truck gets stopped for insufficient paperwork, unsafe driving, or (my personal favorite) Sardine Canning itself on an overpass near an exit ramp.

"What's Sardine Canning," you ask? This.

Tbh even just this footage of the veterans talking to the police as they kettle is a bad enough look for Trudeau.
There's no swearing (as far as I've heard), just appealing to morality and honour. One guy keeps saying "we love you all" lol. Singing the anthem. The truckers will "win" as long as no violence happens, though I hope none of them have knives or anything on them since that'll be easy for the media to latch onto

I spoke too soon lol
Scumbags. "The PROTESTERS put them there! Not us coming out of nowhere!"

The media will just clip the parts of the protestor line resisting and saying "hold the line!" and everyone will shit themselves at the organized, militarized Nazi fascists they see on the news.

The protester organizers gamed this out weeks ago and the government is playing directly into their hands. Do you seriously think they didn't anticipate this? They're not battling for control of the streets of Ottawa, they're battling for optics, and they are succeeding. In under three weeks they managed to trigger a G7 nation to suspend due process without a single act of violence. Sun Tzu would be impressed.

That pet euthanasia stuff, does anybody have a good source that can't be debunked because "It's not from a mainstream website!"

I see some family members that are calling it fake news on boomerbook, and although I know they wont change their minds, I would like to shock them if possible. It would also be nice to have the confirmation myself that it's not just someone stoking the fires for a little news buzz.
It looks like pets could be taken by the human society, meaning you have no say in your pets wellbeing anymore. If you look into the humane societies policies it says they may euthanize pets that are not "adoptable" and they use open ended language to explain cases where they do this. The people who scream fake news would never consider that this could be applied maliciously to an animal if money went into the right pocket. It's technically a possibility that they could euthanize your animal. They link directly to the humane societies website btw, it's literally anything but fake news. But it doesn't matter because in their heads they will go "oh, they would never do that!" and if they do it, doesn't matter, it wasn't their dog, what's on netflix this week?

The type of language used hints that they could do it. While they might never do it, it would be a good way to turn up the heat on the protestors, because now any pet owners in the protest might think the govt will do just that, put down old Sparky, and they in turn might get violent if they think this is the last time they'll see their dog. Then the media will scream "SEE THEY ARE VIOLENT," meanwhile they are getting threatened with kids/pets getting taken away.

If all the truckers were armed, the jackbooted "just following orders" police would be a lot more hesitant to do anything. Remember when all those protests happened in Michigan a few weeks before St. Floyd of the Fentanyl Cross bit it? Whitmer wouldn't even consider using state violence because the risks were so high, as all the protesters were open carrying.

Just another reason to recognize that there is truly no place in the world that even scratches at the ideal of freedom except the United States. Sure, the US has got lots of problems, nobody can deny that. But in the end, we theoretically can't be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process. It might take going to court a year or two later to hash it out, but that's still better than Canada where your kids can be taken away, your dogs killed, and your life destroyed, all without the least recourse in any avenue of life.

If we had a smart president who actually cared about working people, we'd be offering political asylum to Canadians on the basis of them escaping from tyranny. Good way to alleviate some supply chain problems, too.
