Comments on the Wilson video.

I wonder if these are the same people...

Not necessarily disagree with a lot of the points made, Wilson was mostly a victim of circumstances outside of his control. Political instability in Europe led to political extremism which led to violence in America, necessitating a stronger federal security service, and he got pulled into a war which America was doomed to enter the moment the anglophile J. P. Morgan Jr loaned billions to all Entente member states. Woodrow Wilson could not have foreseen a European conflict where every major American bank tied themselves to a single side in the conflict. You literally had the CEO of Goldman Sachs fired by his own board because he refused to loan money to the Entente.
Don't give Woodrow Wilson too much credit. He was an arrogant asshole who was very much an anglophile himself (like an extreme anglophile; the man probably wanted to be Prime Minister of the U.K. more than he wanted to be President of the U.S.) and heavily favored the Entente. He practically ignored all the ways the Entente was actively violating U.S. neutrality, while overtly castigating Germany for its own actions. William Jennings Bryant was so disgusted by Wilson's blatant favoritism towards the Entente, despite the U.S. nominally being neutral, that he resigned his cabinet position over it. Wilson clearly wanted to bring the U.S. into the war on the Entente side for while before he actually did it, after running his entire reelection campaign on how he kept America out of war. And don't even get me started on how he handled Versailles. Seriously, we don't need to get this thread more off track than it already has been.

I kinda agree with Mons. Z on this one. I've grown to blame politics in general at the time more so then Wilson personally for the creation of the fed reserve.
I find it funny that some people get mad that Wilson screened The Birth of the Nation at the white house when it was The cultural event of 1915. It was a film that Everyone in america had to go and see. Even Black activists payed good money to go and hatewatch the film. I also find it very silly whenever anyone blames the fourteen points plan for the rise of the nazis in germany.
I still think he's an authoritarian asshole for suppressing world war I protesters with the alien and seddition act and bullying the Italian government into destroying the city state of Carnaro (rightwing Italian Chaz on the Yugoslav border in 1920).
Him sending a couple of American troops to Russia to do there era equivalent of virtue signaling but not actually help Admiral Kolchak (who Wilson had a grievance with) and the white army will always still pisses me off.
Wilson himself was still an ardent racist, who supported segregation, filled his administration with ardent racists and segregationists, and introduced segregation into parts of the U.S. government where it didn't exist before, including the entire civil bureaucracy, and the U.S. Navy, which had never been formally segregated up till that point.

It's funny I guess, but I also think it clashes with the rest of his generally pretty professional presentation style to mislabel countries as a joke. I also didn't like that he tried to draw parallels to current events because that's a rabbit hole for the worst kind of history Youtuber. Neither aspect was really a big deal in this video, but canary in the coal mine and all that.

Interesting take. The Stalinists and Maoists are apparently not as bad as the Rusty Shacklefords in their basements. I'd get it if they at least made a Nazi comparison.
Not like most of the largest terrorist groups in the world are all hardline Marxist-Leninists or anything...

So is Cypher a super duper enlighten centrist rightwing/leftwing ideologues stay away? I know he doesn't stand for freedom.
I think he would save himself a lot of trouble if he just did a video where he was honest and open about what his ideology is and his political beliefs are.
So that we can understand what goes on inside his head.
Also what's with this "false equivalency"? If anyone of any political persuasion puts you against the wall, they put you against the wall. I don't think in that situation you will go "Uhh... you are not supposed to be as bad as that other group is. Please be nice to me!"

Cyper is going to make small critics of tankies so he can later say "I am a GOOD socialist, I don't have a bias, see I don't like tankies to" everytime someone calls him out on his Anti-Right Wing propaganda

irregardless of how bad Wilson was, he would have been another footnote in history if Roosevelt didn't let his arrogance get the best of him. He knew he'd give the white house to Wilson if he ran. he didn't care. especially at his level, Theo destroyed the country he loved with his arrogance.

Youtube Historians dragging me back to 2001.
You'd think a re.tard who hates Wilson would understand that getting involved in everything, especially when we caused the problem and only lose any gains no matter what, is a terrible idea, but this is Cypher we're talking about.
You'd also think that someone who fought in Afghanistan would be not as blindly pro-war when his political side is literally using the same arguments and acting the same as the GOP during the Iraq War.
