I didn't even see this car when I went to Ottawa. Like I have no idea where that is. I saw an 18 Wheeler, a van, a pickup, and a trailer all with writing but not an old car.

This is just the end of the beginning. Police brutality like that, on international news, will not be forgotten.

Seem like it's go hard or go home, now. I fear it'll be "go home" and we'll never see freedom again.

I knew those rifles looked familiar! I saw those all over the riot squads in Melbourne last summer. They had them color-coded depending on what exact "less than lethal" shit was in them.

I was watching the Portland Andy aggregator when it happened live, and there was something special about that particular streamer's perspective that I did not find in other clips posted. You cannot really see the people getting trampled, but he is right in the shit, and you can really hear the raw emotion in his voice as it takes place. Unfortunately, I do not even know who the streamer is because Portland Andy only had him listed as "333," which seemed to be his pattern for anon streamers (with someone else listed as "444," for example). I only know that he was streaming on Facebook, where I do not have an account. Anyone who was watching the stream may know him as the 'Flower Guy,' since he kept (facetiously?) trying to give a bouquet to cops, and juxtaposing his bouquet to their billy clubs. I think Portland Andy *may* have mentioned his name as Phil Hart (sp?), but that's pretty uncertain, and he may have been talking about someone else, idk.

Regardless, with no real leads for me to go on for the original stream, I'd be quite happy just with the Portland Andy clip.


^Maybe an obscure fb stream to look into? I think he had a notable reaction to the cavalry event, but he also had a pretty fun stream before SHTF.

If not, it might be the Jeremiah Jost 2 minute clip I just uploaded a few minutes ago -- that was on Facebook, and the guy is so horrified you can hear his voice cracking and going hoarse. Or, fingers crossed, this is a totally new one even. I have the full stream 95% of the way downloaded now, I'll find and rip this clip for you before I process the whole thing for archiving.

I don't think they'll open fire, I don't think there's enough of a threat. Realistically there never was a threat, and I think the police always knew that.

The thing is they're going to get crushed today. They should have been crushed yesterday but there was the child element, but that supposedly is gone now.

So there's going to be the sweep up today, if they're efficient they'll get it done in a single day and I don't see a reason why they wouldn't. They obviously compelled enough Tow Truck drivers to do what they needed them to do, and they did about 100 arrests yesterday? The line wont hold another day. I personally agree with my NDP father that while there was a lot of Truckers participating in this, there wasn't as many as we would like to believe.

So the question in my mind now is what happens next?

The occupation is done. Trudeau didn't even speak to them. As far as I can tell most of the sensible Canadian's in this nation, which seems to be the majority, are disgusted by this, but due to parliamentary happenstance, Trudeau has been allowed to reign unimpeded.

As far as I can tell the only real hope is the NDP flipping in the House of Commons and batting the emergency act down. I know I've done the absolute best I possibly could to try to convince the NDP people in my life to see this for what it is, I did what I could, but I didn't see the response I wanted yesterday from the NDP in Commons.

I echo the Sentiment of my Premier Scott Moe; the NDP, as much as we may hate it, are the only ones who can stop this.

Regardless I still think it's important to archive what plays out today. But I would have much preferred today to be far more certain. But I suppose weak men prefer certainty.

Either way, if you're Canadian and you know someone who supports the NDP, I would really recommend suggesting they call their representative immediately, and ask them to repel the Emergency Act.

And if they are power hungry, which they will be because they're fuck in the head, tell them that they stand to gain substantially from the fall of the Liberal Party, which is currently resting on a razor edge right now, and frankly exists purely because the NDP allows them to, from my insane estimation.

There are 2 buses going to Ottawa from the north tomorrow. Two more buses going from the south. All the people I know who planned on going for the weekend are still going. As a matter of fact, they are more adamant than ever.

Even tonight, after the police response got hot, more and more people made there way to the scene. Maybe the buses will be cancelled, maybe people will decide to stay home, but I doubt it. If anything, today's event have strengthened the resolve of the true believers.

Let me put it plainly why it's unlikely why they would use live ammo on unarmed protesters. Yes the mask is off but there are cameras watching you. Even if the US put troops on the border do you not know how many pissed off rednecks and gang members in Canada would agree to Kos police in Canada. Even the wef/IMF/china guys who pull his strings would say he's gotta go at this point.

The problem the NDP is facing right now is that if they withdraw support for Trudeau, they're effectively voting to make Pierre Poilievre the next PM, assuming the Conservative leadership contest ends up being the formality that it looks like it's going to be.

I often wonder if the right's capacity to capitulate and play "moral high ground" is organic or not. Sometimes it doesn't feel like it is.
