Singing with bad technique or singing songs out of your range are big contributors. Pop music has taught people to attempt singing things that can only be achieved with autotune or a recording studio.

Even the best singers have had to deal with the same thing: Steven Tyler, Adele, Freddie Mercury, Bjork, etc. have all pushed way too hard and been forced to have throat surgery. IRyS pushes herself too, and this is just a hazard of the profession. Hopefully she recovers and learns to work around it.

I don't like vTubers but I've watched some Pippa and while youtube recommends her live streams it's weird that it keeps trying to pitch me other vtubers related to her, like Tenma. At first it was collabs, not it's pure other vtubers that were in the collabs and outside of them. Why does Susan hate Pippa, is it because they're women and as such Susan must destroy all other women who show competence?

Guessing it has to do with not using your normal voice thus causing extra strain on your cords because fleshtubers for the most part dont have to deal with this.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to up the algorithm to deter from controversy but really that just spills the autism into the larger system instead of containing it to a set of channels. Confirmed IRyS has vocal cord nodules, so she's definitely going to need that surgery in the future.

This sucks. Speaking of throat problems Cover seems to step up regarding protecting the girls from themself. Lui spoke about participating in voice training. Also her manager track her weekly streaming hours so they can intervene and warn her to take a break.

Room 201 is a small company managing extremely small Vtuber, with their most subscribed Vtuber being Ishinomaki Tsumuri, otherwise known as TsumuSnail201 having less than 2000 subscribers. The average views for their biggest Vtuber, Tsumuri is only averaging to about 20 viewer per live stream and a few hundred to a few thousand in VOD. It is a failing company. Recently, for some reason, all of Ishinomaki Tsumuri's videos were delisted and accusations against the company have been thrown.

Ishinomaki Tsumuri signed a contract with Room 201 without reading the finer print. And during her work as a Room 201 Vtuber, she has a menhera attack leading to suicide attempt on stream. This was very bad, however, she recovers mentally somewhat after the attempt. It was at that point that Room201 pointed out the finer print in the contract

First, for using the name Room 201 (despite it being an unknown company and Tsumuri is its current biggest Vtuber), every talents that sign the contract has a small clause that said they agreed to pay the company for their "Streaming expertise" and "Streaming technology", it is not a share profit deal, they have to pay the company for working for the company. That is one small clause the talents did not know about.
When Tsumuri attempted suicide, the company has rights to terminate her contract. However, the terms of contract termination are
>Removal of all videos
>Tsumuri has to pay the company all the revenue she received from Youtube since she started making those videos (everything she has made from Youtube) because she violates a term that led to her contract being terminated early (her suicide attempt)
>Plus the expertise fees
Since February 12th, Tsumuri has been radio silence afterward. Some of her fans (like 12 of them) are worried this will just cause another suicidal episode because she has been silent since then. Some fans advise her to lawyer up because the contract seems really fraudulent. However, she definitely can't appear as TsumuSnail anymore because while the other terms on the contracts are in dispute, her ass will be nailed for copyright strike if she uses that image, making sure she can't rally her fans and let them know.

Random thought, but I wonder why they all use Duolingo specifically, and not something like Memrise, Pimsleur, or Busuu. It doesn't look sponsored, and they don't seem too "bland" for stream material unlike Anki.

Spoiler: Sperging about Calli and interactions with Holomems, in light of recent discussions

As previously mentioned, IRyS is currently the only other HoloEN in Japan. They get on well enough and Calli has mentioned having high teas (lol).

Out of all the JPs, the ones she seems to click with are Suisei (have met up IRL outside of work, don't think they've ever streamed together) and Lui. I think she's mentioned meeting a few others IRL but I can't recall who. Note that Suisei's English is... what it is, so Calli's Japanese cannot be all that bad.

Calli announced this eikaiwa series at the end of last year and a lot of the HoloJPs replied on Twitter. Hopefully this gives her more confidence.
