That latest pity me video was everything wrong about this narcissistic asshole.
“I am grateful. I have a house, although I’ll have to sell it some day. I have puppies but this one has been a pain in the ass. I’m not gaining but I eat a can of frosting and pizza, Im depressed, so so depressed, but I’ll get through it. My parents abused me but I’m a survivor and you are too.” (He knows nothing about the people watching but assumes his life is the worst, yet has to try to be inspirational.).
Then when he gets enough views, it’s suddenly about how he didn’t think he could survive but now that enough people kissed his ass he thinks he will.
At least until this narc supply wears off and he needs another dose. Until then, frosting will have to do.
He said something about never being a pewdiepie or matpat. Never having a manager or plan, and it’s solely because he took himself too seriously. Narcissistically, he decided it was his comedic skills people liked, when he was just a fat, ugly guy getting on the ground floor of Youtube and people laughing at the stereotype. You can only laugh at a stereotype so often. (At least the same one.)
If he’d realized that it wasn’t him that was funny, it was his fat, and stuck to things people thought fat guys did (like playing video games) he could have nudged his channel into reviews, video game news, play throughs, whatever, and stopped relying on dumb Frances skits or using his fake sad past for pity. If he just focused solely on gaming, he might still be cruising along.
There are few millionaires, but there are plenty of successful YouTubers who have been online for a decade doing their thing-making clothes or showing period hairdos or fixing matchbox cars or whatever. They make 100k a year steady and they don’t talk about their personal lives, or try to be a hero, just their hobby.
Boogie totally missed the boat and didn’t really have passion for anything but being racist, misogynist and feeling misunderstood, so nowhere to go but down.
I know Boogie reads here religiously, and every time he says Reddit he means Kiwi farms, but Boogie, after the court case you can’t start over on social media. You are unlikable-no, hateable. You never were Mr Rogers (makes me sick to think of you together) and the Internet never forgets what you say.
Sure, a few fans remembered your existence after these vids and said nice things, but they’ll disappear again. It won’t be long before they remembered why they stopped watching.
Here is the only nice thing I’ll ever say: Go work at a comic store and try to make enough to keep your house and pay your lawyer bills, because your social media will dwindle to nothing, jail or no. Better be prepared. You aren’t able to see into the future with that “broken brain” but we can.
