Ugh, I always hated that theory. Korra season 1 was already pushing ATLA in general towards Narutard style “muh bloodlines” shit with the hands free moonless bloodbending being a genetic trait, but lavabending being because you’re of mixed heritage would just be the nail in the coffin. Can't believe it's taken me this many years to finally realise maybe it is kind of plausible for Bolin to learn lavabending because of his dual heritage. But they made zero callback to that when he did and being able to master aspects of multiple elements is strictly an Avatar thing to begin with.
So I got curious and decided to do some digging, and outside of that Twitter account the only other thing I could find was this article who reached out to this same tribes to confirm whether or not this statement released to a random Twitter user was true, and has yet to get a response. So I haven't been paying much attention to the situation of the live action netflex adaptation of avatar until I found this post on /tv/ about it.
So this is the cast

Meh, a classic traditional RPG can be neat but a action RPG can be better. Imagine choicing a race, and later the skill tree can make you maximizing your element like in the series: Fire > Lightning, Earth > Metal, Water > Blood(?), Air > ??? (i don't even remember if there's a elemental peak with Air).https://gamerant.com/avatar-the-last-airbender-console-rpg-mmorpg-report/
Looks like we're getting two new Avatar games. Supposedly one of them will be set in the original series era, but the voices will be recast with "new Asian and Indigenous actors" which is insulting to me. I can't imagine Sokka without Jack De Sena's voice or Azula without Grey DeLisle's or Katara without Mae Whitman's. This makes me believe it'll be a tie in with the Netflix show, and while I'd love to see a new Avatar game made for modern consoles, it sounds like they've put their priorities in the wrong place. Though take it with a grain of salt because the source comes from Avatar News, which is most likely not reliable.
I would absolutely love a modern AAA game set in the Avatar world. I used to play the shit out of the PS2 Avatar games as a kid, those are pretty dated now but the world and its magic system would make an amazing game.Meh, a classic traditional RPG can be neat but a action RPG can be better. Fuck, pardon me if i'm pretty optimistic, but they even can create a similar gameplay to Yakuza & Judgment. 0, Kiwami and later Lost Judgment have 3 fighting styles and the final one is unlockable (0 from a long minigame, Kiwami is already unlocked but you need to do many fights with a specific character to unlock the true potential and Lost Judgment had that style in a paywall, shame).
The TLOK's Platinum Games one isn't too bad in terms of gameplay. Seems a watered-down version of Metal Gear Rising IMO. More than that, Korra's model is pretty good. Plot is basically filler but for some reason more consistent than the cartoon itself, lmao.

Why the fuck would you cast Azula when she shouldn't appear for the first two seasons? So I haven't been paying much attention to the situation of the live action netflex adaptation of avatar until I found this post on /tv/ about it.

Nigga, you should be asking who the fuck is Yukari? I looked it up and apparently its a live action original *throws up in mouth* character who is Suki's mom. Suki, a character who had a total of one appearance in season 1 and we apparently had to absolutely know who her mom's actor was.Why the fuck would you cast Azula when she shouldn't appear for the first two seasons?
She appeared in the end of the S1 and in S2 she's disguised with the other two (you know, Ty Lee and Mai) as Kiyoshi Warriors in Ba Sing Se.Why the fuck would you cast Azula when she shouldn't appear for the first two seasons?
My biggest issue is the actress is not the least bit intimating and looks babyfaced, the complete opposite of what Azula should look like. Why the fuck would you cast Azula when she shouldn't appear for the first two seasons?
I think that was more or less speculation because it looks like they're doing a retelling of the original show. Which has a couple of hurdles to overcome if they're hoping to avoid the mistakes of the Shyamalan film. Are they still going with the “everyone is actually in high school” setting that was floated around, or did that get axed early on?
My guess with the announcement of "Yukari", who is apparently Suki's mom, is they're going to make it more linear and not as episodic as the original season. Which could work, the Shyamalan film's biggest issue was trying to turn 20 episodes into an hour and half movie, but I seriously doubt they'll be able to pull it off, they failed with Cowboy Bebop and Death Note (Which was linear), so I'm not at all optimistic about their chances here.Either way, you KNOW they’re not going to be following the plot of the cartoon. Everything will be heavily altered and condensed because I’m sure they know they’ll never get the equivalent runtime of the cartoon.
The same people complaining about this used to mock the fact that the original ATLA live action was too “whitewashed“. Are they admitting that possible Pacific Islanders and (possibly) Hawaiian actors shouldn’t be allowed to played their roles in this?So I haven't been paying much attention to the situation of the live action netflex adaptation of avatar until I found this post on /tv/ about it.

They're so obnoxiously picky they might as well just cast white people if they're going to sperg out about genetics and ethnic backgrounds anyways. I don't think they realize how hard it is to find an ethnic actor that can do martial arts, can speak fluent English, can act, and be the appropriate age vs just getting a white person and teaching them kung fu. The fact they've found this many Asian-American actors for the cast is surprising dedication and they're still ungrateful about it.The same people complaining about this used to mock the fact that the original ATLA live action was too “whitewashed“. If anything, this is about as laughable as those five female actresses having to list their “personal pronouns” for virtue signaling reasons.
Turns out that doesn't matter anymore in Hollywood. Things like skill and merit are no longer desired on TV, so says out of touch morons who call themselves entertainment executives as shows and movies following this philosophy bomb on a regular basis.what care about is if they can act and if the show's good
