In his mind, the message of the entire movement was shown in a "good" light because of his speech. He's so proud about that moment, he's seriously in love with the camera, the lights, the production, he would pay for that to be released to the public, that's why he thinks the whole thing was a success. Even with Baked Alaska, you could just perceive him as some harmless idiot.
But Beardson. Oh no, this was different. This was everything Louis wanted. He didn't even need to engage with the arguments of AF, he just needed to show a picture of that pathetic loser. The contrast between his tone, talking in front of Louis, and in front of the camera. His height. His chin and beard. The way he can't express his thoughts in a coherent manner. The way he ran away as soon as someone called him racist. And the Venti video is seriously fucked up. That alone would kill the reputation of a 150 year old political party, with serious leaders and scholars. Much more a movement of gamers in their basement.
Deep down, Nick knows Beardson fucked up the entire thing.
