Why aren’t Americans supporting the Canadian protestors by blocking the border on their side? Are the US Govt preventing this, or it just doesn’t have the grassroots support?

The scary part is that it really just takes one process worker to lock open/closed a valve which shouldn’t be. Union Carbide still asserts that this was the cause of the Bhopal disaster (and that they were scapegoated because they could actually afford to pay). You can’t really design a plant to resist sabotage. As you said, it’s high level terrorism which wouldn’t achieve the aims of these protestors.

A combination of both. Unlike the LEOs of Canada, the ones here in the USA would not handle any blockades of the border with kid gloves, not to mention the possibility of fed subversion undermining such an effort. Which is why I am presently dubious (but also quietly hopeful) that this USA convoy being organized to go to DC in a couple weeks does not befall the same fate as what happened on January 6th.

This happens in all regimes, eventually to their detriment as the group of people deemed ideologically pure, loyal and thus trustworthy enough sharply decreases as paranoia increases.

With respect to the word salad translation, it has a lot to do with the input being word salad to begin with. Reading the French video description, there were some line that didn't make any sense. I suspect that the transcript was either:
A) Copy-pasted from auto generated captions and English speakers can confirm that those are hit or miss even for English videos.
B) Written by someone who has some grasp of the French language but isn't a native speaker and is not familiar with Québec French accents (For example, I am fluent in French but I felt like I needed irl subtitles when I first heard Joual being spoken lol).​
Listening to the first minute or so, I tried to follow long with the transcript but noticed that not everything lined up exactly. I'm leaning toward option A for this reason but despite the awkwardness, the gist is still accurate (a streamer making a video to show off the mostly festive and peaceful atmosphere of the gathering).

The correct way to deal with law enforcement, is to make sure the people in charge align with decent values and not the degenerates in charge of the cities of America because voter turnout is usually super low.

Its weird that we been hearing about police brutality for the past three decades now, which the majority happen in deep blue shitholes. And looks like the liberals don't want them really changed since they need them to stand by for the next chimpout.

Then we got the blue dog boomer crowd that worships cops like Trump and Fox News and other mainstream news. I believe with most mainstream conservative news sources in Jew York, they really love the cops when the rest of the nation doesn't care what pig from the NYPD got shot.
