Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

I've kind of been here the whole time to be honest :P

Once the police started making their move in Ottawa in the morning on that second day I just kind of focused on recording the initial push in case any of the streams got pulled down, and I decided to do it side by side with CBC; one with their slant, and one with a streamer on the ground to see how the two "styles of reporting" would conflict.

This was literally the moment before I went dark, and right when they started pushing in from the Right T Section in front of Parliament that I was grabbing images of:

I have a lot of more of this recorded, all in linear succession, just need to render it down a little bit to make it easier to upload on my terrible internet, if people want more of it?

Other than that I just watched the House of Commons today for 13 hours... was a nice relaxing stream for an insane hangover... just about finished with the debate.
I love you.
You ate eggs so I was consoled

Because they know damn well that this is a new and unique situation. They know the truckers will not harm them. They also have a certain amount of empathy for them, if not sympathy. They just can't show it, that is all. They also see them as different to antifa scum who they do realise want them dead and broke and they think it's funny. Because the eyes of the world are on them. Because they don't want to be in the spotlight for a Derek Chauvin moment from 20 different camera angles (even if they all look like they were filmed on a potato). Just some possible reasons. I don't know.
If the city council had empathy for the protestors, they were masters at concealing it. Everything I've seen from the livestreams suggests they're just as entitled, arrogant, and eager to dehumanize their opposition as Trudeau himself. I think wanting to not be on the shit end of a Derek Chauvin situation is more plausible theory, and if that's true, then that means they were probably insecure of their power.

Also someone saw a bunch of rigs on Hwy 17 out of Ottawa and wondered if they were the protesters leaving:

They do look like it, with the flags and no loads

Good eyes. This looks related to a stream Winnipeg Alternative Media posted earlier today on Facebook -- Exit 88 on 417 East in Vars is one of the regroup points.

The Coventry Camp is another one and getting relocated to the site specified in this second video.

Back the blue is quickly becoming fuck the blue. NWA would be proud.

Yay @Dogfacefuke 's heart didn't explode from last night's bender! :heart-full:

Anyone can help me out getting around the issue that I will not join Twitter to read replies? Do I make a burner account or is there a go around?

If you're on desktop, Waterfox + uBlock Origin == Twitter never bothers you about logging in, you can just click on whatever you want. On the off chance it gets pissy if you try starting from its homepage, just Google "Twitter #Ottawa" or whatever hashtag you want. From there, you're free. I've heard there are some other extreme minority browsers out there that will also break Twitter's brain like this, so have fun experimenting.

Two more weeks until Trudeau is out
Trust the plan

I see your Trudeau chicken swarm, and raise you this guy from Edmonton today.

Look everyone, the filth is upset. Where's my tiny violin?

SS Cavalry lineup in that pic reminds me, they were out in Ottawa again today. Clip of them riding down Elgin street. If anyone has streams from that area stashed, might be a good place to recheck for any more shithead cop antics to clip and share.

Gee, what if the emergency never ends? It's like you've never even HEARD of Star Wars.

They weren't disagreeing with you....

And please don't bring up Star Wars to make political arguments. That's really reddit's job.

How easy is it to change the constitution in Canada to allow this, though? And how does it compare to other rulers that changed the constitution to abolish term limits, i.e. Xinnie the Pooh and Hugo Chavez?
No term limits for PM. As long as the party keeps winning elections, he can stay in that seat.

Changing the Canadian constitution is excruciatingly difficult but term limits aren't part of it.
