I know we - as a culture - generally frown upon the Spartan tradition of leaving the mentally and physically weak out on rock to be eaten by wildlife, but have we fully considered the time-honored wisdon of the native tribesmen?

I'm not saying he should be fed to wolves. I'm just saying the wolves should get a vote.

The more I look at his tweet the more it comes across as a massive cope. He knows getting his anus ripped by random, bareback dudes is just asking for death sentence, and so does his doctor. Since he won't stop, the only solution is that weird pill that helps prevent aids infection. But his doctor isn't sugar-coating it, so all the lonely, defunct faggot can do is laugh-cry about it on social media.

If you get a pawn to cross the entire board, you can promote it to another piece.
The rules are, you can turn it into any piece (except a King), but in general there's seldom a point in choosing to become anything other than a queen. Occasionally a horse could be better, as it can move in ways other than the queen, but the queen is just superior in every way to all other pieces.

There are a few end game states iirc that result in a draw instead of a win if you promote to a queen instead of a weaker piece but yeah in general you almost always promote to a queen

Things you learn getting involved in middle school chess club:

In the 1800s some autist figured out a position where white would lose unless he was able to move his pawn to the last rank and have it still be a pawn, in which case the position became a draw. As a result the British Chess Association decided to rewrite the rules for pawn promotion to allow pawns to stay pawns on the last rank, despite this being a totally pointless move in basically all real world cases, and over the objections of noted masters like Staunton who helpfully pointed out that this was gay and retarded. Not only that, the rule wound up so poorly written, it theoretically allowed promotion to the opposite color, or a king. There's details on this on the Wikipedia page for Pawn promotion.
