I live in the rural Midwest and honestly as long as you aren't a city slicker you might as well be a southerner with a northern accent. Though the more into the city you get the more "diverse" the people get. I just keep to myself if I ever have to go into a city. Though it might help that I live in a part of the Midwest particularly great for farming.
