Okay you have a single mother who donated $50 and is now unpersoned and can't feed her child because her bank account is frozen. Nobody on either side disputes that this is an extra-judicial process. Normally when a person commits a crime, they have a path to redemption; they pay their fine, they serve a jail or prison sentence, and then their debt to society is considered to be paid. None of this due process exists for these people. So what is the end-game? Assuming they committed a crime, and deserve punishment for it--what next? What is their path to redemption?

Assume they are remorseful about committing a crime here. What then? How do they pay this debt to society now that all of the guardrails of due process have been eliminated?

This is a rhetorical question, but it's also extremely exigent. We're talking about 300-400 human beings that as of this last week are no longer eligible to feed their families. Regardless of your opinion of this protest movement, this is not a sustainable situation, and the rulers of Canada are going to need to produce a road map for these people soon.

Having been on that subreddit, the thread where the police horses came in has 24k upvotes, 6.6k comments, and has a 'Faith in Humanity restored' award. When interacting with these people, one thing is clear: they did not like it when cops rode their horses to trample Natives in their camps when they didn't want pipelines built through their sacred land, or BLM getting tossed into white vans.

They are fine with this. And why are they fine with this? It's in their principles. When they go down, the mobilize and threaten to get what they want. When we go down, they kick us. BLM had banks and Corporate America backing them up. All the tumblr/Twitter/Reddit fundraisers all went to ActBlue or other Democrat slush funds and the dumbass teens donating to them didn't get that. When they asked why so little was done for the Black Man despite worldwide protests, there is your answer. The State viewed them as profitable.
