UK Queen Elizabeth II deathwatch thread - Speculate on when a beloved old lady will die here.

The Queen spent Wednesday night in hospital for preliminary medical checks and is now back at Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace has said.
The 95-year-old monarch returned from hospital at lunchtime on Thursday and is "in good spirits", the palace added.
The Queen was said to be "disappointed" after cancelling a visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday.
She was given medical advice to rest for a few days, after a busy schedule of public engagements.
In a statement on Thursday night, Buckingham Palace said: "Following medical advice to rest for a few days, the Queen attended hospital on Wednesday afternoon for some preliminary investigations, returning to Windsor Castle at lunchtime today, and remains in good spirits."
The Queen was seen by specialists at the private King Edward VII's Hospital in central London, about 19 miles (32km) from Windsor. Her admittance is understood not to be related to coronavirus.
The overnight stay was said to be for practical reasons and the Queen was back at her desk undertaking light duties on Thursday afternoon.
The King Edward VII's is a private hospital in London's Marylebone used by senior royals, including the Queen's husband, the late Duke of Edinburgh, who received treatment there earlier this year.
It has been a busy period of official engagements for the Queen.
She was pictured hosting a Global Investment Summit at Windsor Castle on Tuesday evening alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
An official record of the Queen's diary showed at least 15 other formal events during October.
On Wednesday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said the monarch had "reluctantly accepted medical advice to rest for the next few days".
He said the Queen was "disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland" - which would have involved an overnight stay.
She is expected to lead a royal delegation to the Glasgow COP26 climate change summit in two weeks' time.
Earlier this week, the Queen declined a magazine's award of Oldie of the Year, saying "you are only as old as you feel".
She "politely but firmly" turned down the award, but sent the Oldie magazine a message with her "warmest best wishes".

Just a preliminary thread for now, but it's worth keeping an eye on, pretty sure this was how it started with Philip...

Not British so I am rather indifferent what happens to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom but I will acknowledge her death will be the end of a long ongoing human institution that has been going on since the 1950s. I hope she does beat back the COVID though. On the day Hong Kong was handed over to China the British Empire may of died territoriality but on the day Elizabeth II dies the soul of it or at least a little bit of it will be laid to rest. It is fair to say she is the last true monarch of the empire that people once said the sun would never set on. For sure it would be the end of an era.

While this is rather premature, here is a video I think that is fitting should God choose to call the Queen of the UK home in the near future.

Yeah, it's always pretty amusing to see people whinging about colonialism and imperialism because of something that started maybe a few centuries ago, at most.

2000 years since the Legions marched through, 1600 years since the Saxons landed at Kent, 950 years since the Norman invasion, and 600 years since the death of Owain Glyndwr. The last time an indigenous Welshman ruled so much as a small reservation in a corner of his native homeland, the Portuguese hadn't even sighted Madeira yet.

I'm guessing that the Branch Covidians will use her death, if the coof gets her, to spend the next eternity screeching about how lifting the mandates etc caused this directly.

On the other hand if the ancient old bat manages to beat the coof maybe people will finally stop being quite as terrified

I want to see her survive just so that way I can see the Branch Covidians seethe and cope about how this 'deadly' virus couldn't even kill a frail old lady who is in probably good health for her age. Which proves my point on how this virus only hates only hates fatties and all the Branch Covidians are whales.

It gets even funnier because all the Welsh independence parties are pro mass immigration. They are proud of Welsh culture, but not so proud as to prevent people who are not culturally Welsh from moving in

That's an actual plaid cymru poster. The party member in the picture Sahar Al-Faifi was suspended in 2019 for anti semitic remarks on Twitter and had to sensitivity training

What the fuck is up with the pro-independence parties the UK has? The one thing Plaid Cyrmu and the SNP want aside from the English out is foreigners in. FFS they're making the DUP look sane.
