So after Froot posted her photo with the dumb filter app some people commented that they are not really into it because it breaks "immersion" and now every 10 sub ENVtuber (the attractive ones) and their mothers is posting their photos on Twitter with some backhanded "immersion" comment. This is clearly people who their only reason for Vtubing is because it's the next popular thing and they want to hop in and try to make it big. It's on the same line as the normies that commission a loli model and then get pissed people call them lolis because they don't understand the language or the concepts of this thing they are trying to force themselves into for attention. Hoping this stupid trend doesn't get picked up by the Japanese vtubers. That's what we need some sort of retarded feminist-type call to arms for vtubers. Everything they touch turns to shit.

On the subject of small to moderate EN Vtubers here's one worth mentioning - how about Natsumi Moe?

She's been around for a few years on YouTube but made a new channel last year and is just uploading on there, as well as a few Twitch streams during the week.

I think what sets her out from the rest is she still makes YouTube videos rather than solely streams, and it's a variety of content rather than the same stuff all the time.

She seems to be fine with starting fresh on a channel with like 6k subs as opposed to 450k on the previous, plus her Twitch streams only get around 100 or so people.

Some people might wonder why she isn't on a bigger stage but she doesn't really promote her streams as well as she could, she just seems like she's fine with what she has.

It's the same Cargo Cult phenomenon. A bunch of people who don't understand something try to do it, end up copying only what they see rather than how it works.

Same reason they act like mockeries of JP VTubers, they see a bunch of clips and try to copy it, without realizing it's being taken out of context on purpose. They end up trying to copy memes, rather than the interesting person that ends up spawning memes organically. I remember around the Gura debut, a bunch of them were doing things like shark or aquatic themed models (notably Artemis) or making weird sounds to try and get clipped (while having no talent for it).

In this case, they didn't even grasp what an "immersion break" is. They don't even realize that's supposed to be a bad thing, or they assumed it's a "stunning and brave" move. They've given precisely zero thought to how their audience actually feels about it. If a popular VTuber does it, in their eyes it must be good.

Outsider EN collabs could have worked out really well provided there was heavy vetting going on and an obvious "they're not getting in the door" blacklist for the real shitters.

For a while it had been assumed this was the case with Vshojo (they squashed the idea of a Coco/Melody collab for obvious reasons) but then they got allowed to collab with HoloEN which of course resulted in veibae getting exposed for shitting on Hololive and kicked off the collab. Sadly nyanners still was part of it but acted as on very thin ice to avoid fucking it up.

This was the same collab Kiara had to keep on telling people annoyed about the collab to knock it off, and the live chat got turned off until the stream actually started. There were of course still some superchats that got sent criticising the Nyanners involvement in the collab, because as we all know, pink cat bad for being a hypocrite, etc.

Meanwhile NijiEN can't do collabs with them even though JPs on each side can without a huge fuss. Would rather have that than the yabai Twitch whores slutting it up to get views.

There could have been a lot of decent collabs with outsiders if they got allowed. Even when you take out vshitshow and their orbiters there were still vtubers worth approaching.

I can't remember the full story but at one point she shit all over vtuber corporations like hololive and brought up Aloe and the Taiwan stuff.....only for her to join vshitshow.

And when people rightfully brought this up to stop the collab from happening (including people trying to stop nyanners / vshitshow too)....veibae doubles down on it all.

History lesson: When Kiara and Veibae wanted to collab people found a clip of Veibae from her pre-vshojo time shitting on Cover how they handled the Aloe/Taiwan incidents. In the clip she claimed talking to a former hololive idol about the shitty working condition and about how holo idols are fake. When people found the old clip and got angry she adressed it and said it was taken out of context but nethertheless doubled downed on most of it. People were even more pissed and the collab got canceled.
