Maybe I'm a faggot but I don't see this as an issue because:

1) The best of their genetic code will live on in the mutt generations. The neandertal race died out a long time ago but the best of them is still with us in our genes.
2) Intelligence and cooperation are so incredibly overpowered in the animal kingdom that every human subspecies is under a convergent evolutionary pressure to get to a similar place. This is why humans are simultaneously the fastest, strongest, most resistant, and most widespread animal on earth (if you count technology). It's easy to get hung up on where other races are *now* - if you're a member of a race that's ahead on the evolutionary curve (e.g. one that's smarter and more cooperative). All races/subspecies will eventually get to the same place or die out, if we're talking evolutionary timeframes. This is because being stupid and uncooperative increases the odds of an early death and non-reproduction.
