The Canadian national level of anger is high and growing, likely approaching American levels. If there's some sort of peaceful redress of some grievances, things can cool down. But right now you have a lot of bugpeople lording it over the protesters. These bugpeople are sowing the seeds of lasting anger and bitterness, if not downright hate. The longer this thing goes, the longer these seeds have to grow and strangle civil discourse within Canadian society. Some will see no other way to express themselves except direct action. Once again, all Trudeau's fault.

After the Boston Massacre there was a 4 year collective holding of breath in North America before the plunge into full scale Civil War. We call it the American Revolution but under technical terms it was honestly the Second English Civil War and it was an unmitigated catastrophe for the central government.

I don't think so. Ukraine and Russia going to war impacts the markets because of oil and natural gas prices, and the fact that much of europe depends on russia basically for natural gas.

Canada is going to be a bloodbath domestically, but they aren't a major worldwide player in finance.
