Because En male vtubers didnt pander hard on the fujo fanbase before Luxiem existed, they were just male streamers with an avatar.

Maybe there are males that want to apply to a more chill & general audience group like holo so they are waiting. Now if they will be decent its another story.

So many pages to catch up on. . . and then Niji casually drops in a new generation. I will say that I agree with the sentiment that the male designs of the two generations are just stale. They're flashy, sure, but there is little to no diversity. The girls have relatively unique designs, faces, etc. . . that match their personalities. The boys are all the same stick-thin mold; it's disappointing and a shame given their distinct personalities.

Speaking of Niji. While I haven't really been watching streams so much; I have taken a liking to Pomu; attractive voice (to me at least) and very funny. I'm glad I finally took the time to start giving them a chance.

Also, I started watching Highping Monaca a decent amount. Genuinely a fun and energetic personality with a lot of interaction with chat. She also does these small streams of JP culture that I think is a cool concept. Last was a Setsuban and the next is:

Speaking of Gura and Mumei karaoke, what is up with the Wagon Wheel and Big Iron spam whenever country is brought up? Is it some meme or from something because I have never heard of them but chat is down bad for those (crappy, IMO) songs and I don't get it. I'd actually like to see Gura and Mumei do more country as I actually like some of those songs, especially some of the 80s and 90s country. I think they both would have good voices for it without having to sing those cliche songs all the time like chat seems to want them to do.

We need some Garth Brooks and George Straight up in this.

Two of hanamori members graduated recently so they're probably in this bunch. Chimon and Pearlish. Both of them cleared their content except some covers on youtube so safe to say something happened here. I can't place them from the crap trailer voices though.

As much as I love corporate vtuber debut lol, I might pass this one. The character design is quite cool but bland overall. I already have enough interest with just Luxiem alone. But will see how that goes.

I can agree that the character design was based more toward female audience. I mean even in Luxiem, fans already shipping/pairing their fav. Now with the new wave, fans now can pairing their fav with their counterpart! Wow! Isn't that great?! *wink2* (I try being sarcastic here)

From Niji KR & ID merge discussion in my local group, I find info that wave 7th for Niji ID supposed to be a male group with 3 member (the model was already made by ID artist/illustrator). They say it suck, that wave 7th was cancelled, and now Niji EN have a new male group. So many mixed feelings I guess, I wonder if we will ever see wave 7th model in the future.

So I imagine Wave 5 will be announced about 8.5 hours from now.

Here are my speculations:
• One of them is androgynous and goes by she/they.
• One of them uses a leaf as an Oshi mark, but not the one Pomu uses.
• They'll all thematically be from the future.
• One of them is just a huge fuck off Metal Gear Rising reference.

Well judging by their outfit, wave 5 have a futuristic vibe. At this point, I might believe scuttle prediction about niji in the future lol
