How are my fellow Americans feeling? I'm legit kind of shook up by this. I mean it's not weird to see British colony turn authoritarian given the records of the UK and Australia, but the speed and severity this happened has shocked me. All the stories of people having their savings stripped away because they donated a couple bucks to, and I'm quoting the Trudeau regime, a protest is still kind of surreal to me.

My question is, should we Americans start prepping for this to happen to us? I know everyone here would say you should have pulled out of banks and started prepping years ago, but I'm talking about serious prepping. Not just keeping a rainy day fund in crypto/gold/silver, but pulling ALL of your assets out of banks. Not just having a couple weeks/months of supplies, but years. I'm not sure if I should be that nervous, but I kind of am at this point. What are ya'll thinking?

I will be extremely surprised if this could ever happen in the near future in America, not only because of the state system but because Biden has fucked up so hard after promising so much, he's gonna have to fade into memory like Ulysses Grant before people forget how much voting for someone due to their party and ignoring all election fraud fucked up their country and their daily lives.

We have a couple advantages Canada doesn't. I wouldn't count on something like this happening in the US, not anytime soon at least. Red states would just ignore any emergency act

It's worth noting that the parliamentary system, as originally designed, was supposed to have two chambers in equal power. Prior to the 1911, the UK House of Lords was regularly rejecting the Commons legislation, and acted as a brake for a lot of stupid shit that might have been implemented. (Of course, whether this is a good thing depends on your view on whether you think unelected nobles have any right to determine your life).

Unfortunately, in other Commonwealth countries which followed the UK model, often have their upper chamber reduced to nothing more than a rubber stamp, which left the Commons with all the power to push these sort of measures with little checks other than pinky promises and tradition.

I think Trudeau is officially the craziest motherfucker in North America that is also the head of a government. Which is really quite a feat.

Its a consequence of the government granting the people rights. That can be revoked extremely quickly. In the US the government doesn’t grant me rights I was born with. It sounds nitpicking but it makes a massive difference.

Everything hinges on the 2022 midterms. I suspect it's over for the democratic party. The reason Biden is silent is because Jewdeau killed the dems chances at anything. If they try to steal this election again, multiple red states will secede. Too many people are watching, the dems blew their wad for the next 50 years on Biden + Georgia. Manchin + Sinema killed their chances by refusing to kill the filibuster.

One of the Largest Mistakes in the nations history was putting Senate for direct vote instead of leaving it to the State Houses.

After what I saw happen in the United States after Trump was elected in 2016, I fully cottoned on to how bad the rot really was at the higher echelons of government and across society in general. All the mythology about how America is a shining city on the hill and how the ideas enshrined in the Constitution are sacred is complete horseshit when it comes to the people in charge and the dumbfucks they've brainwashed. They're all part of a global club that views most of us as subhuman garbage that are wasting their oxygen. No laws or rules mean anything to them and they will do absolutely anything to anyone (even each other) to stay powerful, rich, and surrounded by opulence.

What all that is to say is that what just occurred in Canada isn't a surprise to me at all and yes, it absolutely can happen here. If you weren't "prepping" to rely only on yourself, family, and trusted friends for your own wellbeing after what occurred in 2020, you need to start doing so immediately.
