See, I also have been watching Pomu for awhile, since right before her procedure. I also feel like I see other Hololive fans are prone to watch her more than the others as well. What is this power she possesses over the Holo fans?
She had the smallest sub count from her gen but not by much (7.5k compared to 10k+), but she got more views than other bigger subbed indie group streamers. Hopefully she goes to better things if she isn't a new talent for the big companies. I just always feel bad for these smaller vtubers when this stuff happens, especially when you get things like that poor girl in Japan with that fucked up contract pages back.
"Isn't it too soon? This will hurt the existing members" is pretty much the discourse we've had three times before with Obsydia, Ethyria, and Luxiem. It was correct for Ethyria (Ethyria members have established themselves now, but they did kinda cannibalize the Lazulight and Obsydia audiences early on and had a relatively slow start). On the other hand, it was wrong for Obsydia (which complimented Lazulight well and had good growth from the start) and Luxiem (who have had fantastic growth and we've seen the girls incline as well since Luxiem's debut). So it could go either way with Noctyx.

It isn't that in my case; I honestly started giving the whole group a chance more out of spite against those random nutcases that get triggered whenever @Scuttle breathes. They were a better advertisement than anything Sony could produce.
I mean, making vtuber designs that are conventionally attractive to the opposite gender and pairing same-sex vtubers are some of the common tactics in vtubing lol.
Pomu does come off as a bit more akin to Hololive than most of the other NijiENs to me, but I can't really explain why. It's not that she's more restrained (she's honestly one of the most wild in terms of the shit she can say on stream) nor that she feels out of place in Niji (after all she's one of the ones who actually explicitly mentioned being a fan of Nijisanji during her PL) but I can just about as easily imagine her in HoloEN as NijiEN, more so than I can, say, Elira. Her voice is probably a part of it. Maybe it's also her interest in idol stuff and her general preference for slightly more "solo" content as opposed to the more collab-focused Nijis.

With NijiEN the upcoming members in each new wave tend to interact with the existing members behind the scenes for quite a while before debuting. Vox and Mysta were the British people who Pomu mentioned learning swear words from in one of her streams early in November, for example.
She just should have stay silent for the latter half, less is more in this case I think.
