Let me try my hand at turning something into a trans story. Silent Hill 2 is actually about a closeted transwoman who killed her terminally ill wife out of jealousy. All those leggy flesh abominations she encounters were born from her dysphoria. Maria is the woman she dreams of becoming. Hence the side story named Born From a Wish. Pyramid Head is the her suicidal depression. That room with a male corpse staring at a TV is her fear. She fears dying in a body she feels trapped in all in hopes of appeasing a transphobic society.

Laura is the child she knows she'll never be able to give birth to.

It's amazing when people criticize the lack of POC. Like what, do you want them to actively seek out people and befriend them based solely on their skin color? That seems a bit shitty. Almost fetishistic.

My little Russian town has like 2 black people. Everyone else is pretty well white. As such everyone's friend group is like 99% white. Like no shit your friends are going to look like the people that make up your community.

I think that's EXACTLY how they view things.

It's insulting as fuck too. There were a couple black guys I was friends with a while back, and I wasn't friends with them because they were black; they were friends because we had shared interests (RPGs, vidya, anime, etc). Holy fuckballs, the tokenism on these motherfuckers.

Unfortunately, this thinking is starting to hit universities as a side effect of needing to tiptoe around the feelings of black students.

I checked in with a professor a few years after I graduated and he says that the school has lost its mind. The administration is no longer teaching academic English as the standard and most professors are now too scared to grade for grammar and spelling because a complaint from a student could cost them their job.

I wonder how strong the (negative) correlation between percent of a state's population that is white and that state's murder rate per 100,000 of population is? Might be an outlier out there like West Virginia or something, but I'll bet it is close to a perfect -1 otherwise. Might be an interesting thing for this show to investigate. (I kid, I kid. But it would be fun to watch them rationalize that, how huwitey force Kangz to kill each other.)

That slogan has always been a lie. They don't want even the slightest health & safety regulations to deal with complications, abortion as birth control has long been pushed as a way to “empower women,” and now people are starting to make at-home abortions their new rallying point, with all the medical danger that entails. The only part of that slogan pro-abortion activists actually believed in was the “legal” part, because they find it a lot easier to damage the social fabric when you can remove the primary result of sexual promiscuity.
