General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Low-effort joke aside, I hear it too. The voice filtering or whatever it is that they all have is the strongest on him; I had to listen to his line two or three times to hear "Yo - how you doin'?" The delivery also contributes but I can't describe it exactly.

People are speculating that it's Miyuno/YUNA CHANNEL, a Filipino animator, L2D rigger and artist who graduated a day or two ago.

Miyuno's twitter bio leads with 'I am artist' whilst Yugo is 'I am DJ'. Despite this, Miyuno is able to use English particles correctly and fluently, which seems to add credence to it being a quirk of theirs (kind of like 'am frog'). They also enjoy drawing femboys and is a fan of ex-Holostar Kagami Kira, Ryushen, Tamaki/Norio. Yugo is the most androgynous of the cast so it would check out.

That said, and I admit I'm voice blind, but Yugo sounds more feminine. He could be putting on a voice like Enna did but I couldn't say with certainty.

EDIT: To add to this, Yugo's description reads 'A DJ from the future with a deep passion for music. He can put you in a trance with his voice and his beats'. Obviously, character descriptions aren't be-all-end-all, but Miyuno can't sing and doesn't have a history of making music (as far as I can tell), so it would be fucking wild to me if they mismatched that badly. The minimum you'd expect for a music-driven character is someone who can sing at least a little bit.

@Bingeamint, as I promised, here it is.

Also, both Kiara and Flare are known to go into tangents. My Kiarafag friend told me that Kiara said in her chitchat stream that she had to hold herself and Flare from going into tangents and yet the episode was two and a half hours long. Imagine if they do a free chat stream. 12 hours gone to the wind.

Stalin had taught Niji well. Quantity is quality in its own. Inside joke aside, since Niji is doing good with male Vtuber they might as well shaft all underperforming female consider they let Lulu left like that

Slowly we will have Niji for fujos and Holo for simps. Just like sport, if we can have inter branch transfer between holo and Niji that would be so much better. Ironically, Holo know how to produce female talents better than male and vice versa for Niji (with all their branch merge and disband). If HoloKR becomes reality one day and they explode in popularity then both companies should just consider to produce male only for Niji and female only for Holo.

Mikeneko (Rushia's roommate for the tards and tourists) made her own YouTube channel as of today!

I thought she’s already had her own YT channel with latest stream was 5 years ago.

No it just means she's going to stream on her own channel after being secretly suspended for having a boyfriend like what they did for Aloe.
How was Aloe's suspension secret? Pretty sure she really didn't have a boyfriend at the time either, she considers herself too much of an menhera for relationships.
Anyway it does feel like Cover doesn't want Rushia to talk about this incident at all, I guess because it involves another party and they wouldn't want hololive getting dragged into some sort of private drama, especially with other companies being affected. Looking at their official statement I think they're also scared about the EOP/normie response if Rushia wanted to apologize about something related to her real life because "idol culture bad", she can't communicate with her audience properly as a result.

Speaking of the rabbit, clock me late but I just came across this vid
Thoughts?

I respect this massively.

It's pretty easy and common for people to form a fanbase and just get swept up in it. Not only exploiting them for money (consciously or unconsciously), but also not thinking about the implications of fuelling these parasocial relationships that end up preying upon people who are lonely, in a bad place, or otherwise vulnerable to falling into a toxic parasocial relationship. A lot of even rather likeable personalities unknowingly push these parasocial relationships. So Pippa being able to identify this, even when there's nobody to teach you this stuff, is very good.

She clearly knows what her platform means, and how others view her and can view her. And she's trying to make sure she uses it properly, ensuring that the relationship between her and her fans remains a mutually beneficial one.

Maybe I'm just jaded by the circlejerk for Pippa in this thread, but meh. Pretty much everyone knows this, streamers and simps alike. It's not ground-breaking and borderline virtue-signaling because we all already realize this. 99.9% of people watching and donating know she's not going to be their girlfriend and the .1% who do are so schizo that they'll just ignore something like this anyway because they are "the exception" and she's definitely not talking about them. The problem is that once you grow into a streamer with a large fanbase that .1% grows from a statistical anomaly into a sizeable group of people and things can go sideways fast (ask Rushia).
