Unfortunately there will always be a part of me that will sympathise with Chibs. It's clear that being a speedrun streamer is his dream and realising you are not cut out for your dream is a bitter pill to swallow. Most of us will have experienced this at some point but Chibs just doesn't know when to quit. It's either obtaining your dream or life is not worth living. I blame Disney movies for installing the idea into (man)children that all your dreams are possible.

Chibs need to learn that even if you can't have your dream there are always alternatives. If I were him I would just dedicate myself to video editing, its the only thing he seems relatively competent in. Iron out his problems, learn to not have cringe editting and he could easily make a living.

Not like this would happen, of course, it's Chibi afterall. He has neither the smarts to realise the hole he is in nor the ability to stick with something for more than a few weeks.

I don't get the feeling that speedrunning is his dream at all. He seems more like someone that desperately wants to be part of a community and this happens be speedrunning. Now he's upset because only good speedrunners get (positive) attention and invitations to play for marathons while Chibi is just of average skill level.

Adam is actually what other community refer to as an extremely toxic and character. He is saying he struggles with his feelings being acknowledged or in other instances with being of use to the people he cares about but in his writing, there is no mention of that.

What is important to Adam, and he clearly writes this out, is that he receives recognition as character. He wants to be someone revered and in this instance someone who is better than others. And he hopes to achieve this by guild tripping others by telling them they do not acknowledge his feelings or do not appreciate the things he supposedly does for them.

I have dealt with people like this in my life and personally Im somewhat of a narcissistic person myself and trying to work on bettering myself. And I can fully relate to Adams feelings and desires. Im not and empath but I can clearly pinpoint the burning feeling a destructive piece of shit has when someone else is better then them. I think he is the worst kind of human to have around.

On another note I wonder is it even correct to refer to him as “speed runner (extraordinaire)”? He is not particularly good as speedrunner, barely running certain games faster than a normal player. Wouldn’t self-proclaimed speedrunner be a better label?

That's just life in general and growing out of that and finding a cozy happiness usually happens in your early mid 20s. Think most people want to be where they're at? They're not but they also aren't flailing about on Twitter like a retard.

If you're 30 plus still thinking you're gonna make a living speedrunning then something is not right. As a hobby that's cool more power to him but Chibi has delusions of grandure despite being a class A fuckup.

His brother probably wishes he could be doing his music but isn't throwing tempertatrums on the internet and shockingly seems pretty adjusted in comparison.

To be fair, that guy was at least responding with "I" statements to the content of Chibi's rant by discussing his own experience as a more accomplished player. Meanwhile, Chibi had seemingly opened the wrong Discord channel or social media all together in order to make this Twitlonger-tier sob story. The timing of the other guy's responses is probably only due to the fact that he was typing faster than Adam, in effect winning some sad speed run in Discord itself. I doubt Adam was even reading what was being sent to him.
