TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

He could just watch the first episodes, decide whether he likes it or not, and then continue with the extended canon if he wants. But nope, better to just tl;dr when the experience of watching something is almost always better than reading the summary
THis tells a lot of what he thinks of his own type of 'reviews', which is borne of the 'give me a 5 minute summary' style.

That’s is why you had the lost Wonder Woman comic titled the rape of Wonder Woman
Yes. And back then, DC actually considered the concept and had an artist draw sketches for the comic's first page, because it was supposed to be in the same vein as Superman's death and Bruce Wayne's paralysis; this would be Wonder Woman's version of the former two. It only got canned because of cases of sexual misconduct in the media. But now, if you try to pitch such a story, at best, you'd get fired, at worst, you'd come back home with a black eye or worse.
I see this repeated a lot and I will say this probably is not real. The only evidence of this ever existing is from an anecdote Mark Millar told on a forum which has telephoned to oblivion. Supposedly on his own forum Mark Millar claimed he had submitted a pitch for a rape of wonder woman story as a joke to show how creatively bankrupt DC was during the Death of Superman, Knightfall, and Emerald twilight era. The only source for this is this fandom lost media wiki article with no sources. The unsourced quote from Millar goes like this:
"I pitched this to DC for a laugh years back. The idea was that, like 'Death of Superman', we had 'Rape of Wonder Woman'; a twenty-two page rape scene that opened up into a gatefold at the end just like Superman did." Even assuming this unsourced quote is real no where does he say that DC attempted to publish this (it is purely an utterly unsourced claim on this sketchy wiki) nor does it say he ever wrote 22 pages of this or that someone drew it. A pitch in the comic world is in most cases (especially for an established writer like Millar) simply proposing an idea. Beyond this unsourced Miller quote there is no other evidence of this ever having been even proposed to DC so it may also be a made up story on Millar's end.

Looking at this story there are three possible options: Millar did pitch this to DC as a way to mock their trend of killing and maiming heroes for publicity, Millar makes this story up on his forums for laughs/to make fun of DC in the 90s, or this is entirely fake and Millar never said this. No where in any of these scenarios does Millar write a 22 page comic of Wonder Woman being raped and seriously pitch it to DC, no where does anyone actually draw this, and no where does DC seriously consider this. I learn towards this whole thing being fake as the only source people point to is this sketchy wiki which doesn't link Millar's supposed post, and I have never seen an actual screen shot or archive of this post. If one comes about I would say option 2 is more likely the 1 as no else has ever mentioned this. Sorry if this is too off topic I'm not trying to target you two in specific but I see this exact claim referenced by so many different people either in the context of mocking DC or accessing Millar of being a rape fetishist and no one questions how sketchy this whole scenario is with the lack of evidence. Remember kids don't trust random fandom wikis on the internet.

yeah, I'm sorry, but if Mark "I didn't think Black people got human diseases" Millar said this, don't take him seriously.

My point is, back then, rape stories weren't that uncommon in fiction. It was a cheap way to create shock value or build up character drama, and only after the feminists REEEEEE'd at such stories did they become taboo. Back then, rape stories were a dime a dozen, even outside of hentai.

Still, it's weird that Linkara had such stories in his past works, then he goes full feminist and supports the very same people who would cancel his ass if he published Lightbringer now.

It's not that weird, it's pretty standard for male feminists to have some shady shit in their past that would get them in trouble if they said it today. Jim Sterling had whole blogs that were basically anti-woman screeds.

If the timeline of the video is right, he's done/written/supported/condoned some creepy rape shit AFTER his mystical transformation into a male feminist in that blogpost.

Youngblood is a tradition on his channel though. IIRC it was one of his first reviews as a video. That or text.
It's not like any other artists in that period drew like that.... like say, Jim Lee or Todd MacFarlane

Oh wait... it was everyfuckingwhere and industry darling Jim Lee and Todd MacFarlane started this fucking garbage.

Present too. Is the proper name for this The Joss Whedon effect? Or is Wolf in Sheeps clothing still the proper saying for this?
