The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". Beauty Parlor cow, Elizabeth Anne Pelayo, has somehow managed to give herself Bell's Palsy after a months long bender of drugs and alcohol, she also was just accepted into nursing school.
Lizzy is now doing her best Snake Plissken impression for the next "2 weeks to 6 months" until her Bell's Palsy fixes itself. Apparently, after having "spent the night at some random guy's house" she looked in the mirror and had half her face paralyzed. After having to go to a far off hospital because the guy wanted to drop her off at the ER on the way to his job interview, she was told it was Bell's Palsy caused by either "stress, drugs, or Covid."
