How much profit have you seen thus far, Thomas? What do anticipate your monthly revenue to be going forward? Costs? What's your distribution network like for all this new gravel?
I do find it funny that he spent all this money on inventory right before a major move, possibly the best way to maximize his inventory carrying costs.

my name isn't Thomas and what makes you think you're entitled to know all these things when you're too stupid to even know gemstones from gravel?
I'd have to actually handle the stones, pretty sure the large red piece is Inca Rose and the other one is maybe an amethyst. In the second post, the first one looks like rough rubies.

None of that matters though because all of these gems are valued based on their aesthetics. they aren't commodity pricing. If you were selling through a boutique or a department store, you might be able to get the prices you're talking about, but you don't have that distribution network for that. Even jade is only worth the aesthetic/"healing" value people attribute to it, and a large part of that is in the form and salesmanship. It's not like you bought gold ingots. It's like you think you stumbled on pirate booty. But unless you're actually good at gemcutting (you're not lol) you aren't making shit out of this stuff.

E: how much did you pay for the large pieces of malachite Tommy?
i've been in this trade for nearly forty years. this year was the first year i had buying power. no pirate booty. just smart buying. how much do you think i paid for the malachite? most of them are fibrous and chatoyant. they're also completely unpolished, which is difficult to get because the Congo won't export it without a polished face. my designer cabs sell pretty well actually and i get a pretty decent price for them. i'll get at least forty dollars a pop for any of those fire agates i finish.

i sell to boutiques all the time and i'm about to open a showroom on the freeway access road when Rapa River opens full time. I'll be doing shows with them all over the country and i'm getting retail prices at facebook and sometimes eBay.

Stone sells as a commodity all the way up to to the wholesale level. the last two steps are entirely based on aesthetics of the buyer and marketing of the seller. the big red chunk is rhodonite that sells easily at a dollar per gram. next to it is a rubellite tourmaline. in the second set of pictures is ruby, blue green beryl, fire agate, orange tourmaline and himalya mine tourmaline. this is not shit stone and anybody calling it shit stone is just a hate obsessed fool. this material sells by caratweight.

Holy shit imagine doing something for 40 years and having absolutely nothing to show for it. Then when somebody kicks the bucket and you get a little money you piss it away on cheap rocks and still have nothing to show for it.

If these are so valuable (they aren’t, but ok) then why are you so poor and always cyber begging?

Certainly such a rich Rocklord like yourself has better things to do than post on KF.
i do . it's late and things are quiet elsewhere and the only AMBeasts up now are asshole kiwi farmers and terribly boring. i'm going to bed soon.
No one cares, sweety. The only rocks you should be concerned about are the ones between your ears that make you think you’re anything close to a woman.

don't condescend to call me sweety, douche canoe. i'm an intersex person; neither a man or woman but a sort of blend of both. male bits on an otherwise female chassis and female dominant brain.

Lol you are a 67 year old man Tom. There is absolutely no way you will be doing even half of what you just said. And yes, operating a business for 40 years and having negative profits to show for it is pathetic. You are worse than the Etsy shops I was comparing you too.

E: That tourmaline looks like it has plenty of occlusions. That's what I mean when I say it's not a commodity, Tom. Gold is gold, no matter its source. Silver is silver. But gemstones can be worth thousands or nothing depending on just the quality of the cut. You keep quoting these prices that I'm sure you've red up on online, but there's no guarantee your pieces will bring that in, especially given the shit tier quality of your finished products.

Well now, I don’t know a whole lot about minerals. But if you can look at the way you look, sound and act and think, “Yup, that’s basically female,” then I certainly wouldn’t trust you with anything requiring actual expertise. The only crystal I’d trust your knowledge on is meth.
