Context:
For context on why Boogie decided to upload this video, here it is: The upload date is from August 16, 2019 which comes 12 days after Christopher Tom's "
The Fall of Boogie2988: Why He's Losing Subscribers" video. For a nobody on Youtube, Christopher Tom's video managed to get around
450K views before Boogie uploaded his attempt at "damage control". This is the first time an exposed video about Boogie had really gone viral and he was shitting his pants. Out of all of the exposed videos created about Boogie, this one leaves him the most butthurt.
The video:
Surprisingly Boogie didn't have the Sammy Shield in his lap for this one, but he did do his very best to sound as soft and innocent as possible. He didn't even say his usual catchphrase, so you know he means business.
Basically everything that you heard about Boogie is wrong and if he said something bad then he was joking, being edgy or being sarcastic. If you think he lied about something happening, then he has the receipts to prove that it happened. This video is 3 years old and he's yet to show us the receipts in question (to prove that he was abused as a child). He also said in this video that he can't prove that Lucy Foxx was lying but has recently said on Reddit that he
does have the receipts to prove that she's lying (he apparently won't show us because we won't believe him).
The only things he owned up to in this video were his gay marriage comments on the h3h3 Podcast and the holocaust comments on The Ralph Retort. These confessions clocked in at a whopping 16 seconds from the 33:37 run time (
32:25 - 32:41). Notice how both these incidents came from livestreams, so he can't really play the "I was joking" angle thus he confesses his sins....or does he? He's pinned the blame on other people for his holocaust comments and he's constantly defended what he said on the h3h3 podcast. He has even gone as far as
coming out as "bi" to refute claims that he's homophobic.
Further to this, he doesn't even go into detail about
what he said when addressing these incidents. The h3h3 comments are simply "we should wait 5 years" and the Ralph Retort comments were "I misrepresented the holocaust". He spends plenty of time trying to debunk the "mistruths" about himself but spends no time discussing the things that he did admit to.
Boogie shows a grand total of one clip throughout this video and he cuts that clip short. He conveniently doesn't show the clips where he said that he doesn't want children because he's afraid that he'll do the same things that his parents did to him, nor does he share the clip of him laughing that his "ex-girlfriend" died (
I wonder why?).
Honestly there is so much to pick apart with this video. As far as defending himself against the haters, I suppose you could call this the magnum opus of Boogie defending himself against the haters. 33 minutes of excuses, lies, manipulation, gaslighting and playing victim.
