Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

So Trudeau realized he made Canada look like a fascist shithole and destroyed confidence in the financial sector and government institutions over FUCKING HONKING.

He's a complete retard. The trucks should just drive back in and fucking drive Ottawa insane. Fuck that city and everybody living in it.

I hope the protesters do what Quebec City/Toronto/others are doing and organizing weekend parties in pure defiance of Trudeau.

What a cuckold, he ended the Emergency act as soon as it was clear it wouldn't pass senate
No that's not the reason, for all the criticism being voiced the act would've still passed in the Senate given it's a veritable rubber stamp factory.

What likely triggered this is the general push back as the thread has been discussing for several hundred pages now. The banking crap does not look good when you're freezing the accounts of small donors and threatening to go after anyone spotted at the protest; Twitter and Reddit might love it, but the ones who actually phone their MPs and vote do not.

Likewise is the political push back. The Cons are grifters, but their outrage still is in the news and keeps awkward facts known. That combined with how Trudeau has handled this whole clusterfuck - i.e. acting like a spoiled brat - has eradicated whatever political bounce could be acquired here.

Libs came out with this because keeping it any longer would've started affecting them publicly with media unable to sufficiently cover it up. Recent polling for example has seen them fall neck and neck with the Cons in projected seat count, enough so that if elected the Libs couldn't form government with the NDP alone.

The guarantee now is that we will have a federal election before the year is out. Whether Trudeau is the party leader for that one remains to be seen.

I'm guessing Trudeau got a whiff of the senate's decision and decided to preempt his humiliation by rolling back the emergency act.
Lots of reasons to revoke it. Shoulda never happened to begin with.

It's just so weird seeing them not double-down on stupid for once. I doubt they learned anything or had a change of heart. Someone told them to stop. I'm thinking it was the banks.

Him revoking it is meaningless. He just proved that he can impose it at any time, for any reason, and start actively using its powers before its even voted on. Him revoking it is just a formality, honestly.

It's like someone pulling their gun out of their holster, shoving it in your face and threatening to shoot you unless you comply, and then when you comply they put it back into their holster. The threat is still there, they can pull it back out at any time. Which is why it means nothing that they put it away. They can pull it out at any time, for any reason, and you can't stop them. You just have to pray that they don't decide to pull it out and shoot you the next time, because the only person stopping that from happening is their arbitrary decision.

But, whoo boy, this is a nice talking point for the propaganda. "What are you talking about, he's not a tyrant, he got rid of the act himself!"

It's not merciful for him to stop it after he already used the powers to accomplish what he wanted, especially given that there is no limit and virtually no oversight to his actions.

Nah - I think its looking like it will fail in the Senate. What has worse PR - Arguing that you won, and therefore don't need the powers anymore (Even when you clearly haven't), or arguing that you need them still, and having them ripped from your hands.

Better to take the course where your supporters can go "lalalala we won I can't hear you" than the one that scares the bugmen.

I hope you're right, but people are awfully quick to forget things like this, especially if it didn't affect them directly.
I don’t think so. People who build up significant assets over time do so partly by identifying and mitigating risk.

The Canadian government going full mask off suddenly is shocking. If we can’t trust our boring, stable banks, then alternate plans must be made.

For the government these are exactly the worst people to wake up.

Chrysta just openly admitted that the Act was to be used like waving a gun in someone's face to "make them see reason"
So sicking rabid violent cops on peaceful men, women, children, and bouncy castles was to make them see reason.

Freeland and Trudeau should be fucking arrested and/or forced to resign for this.

Revocation of emergency powers is useless if Trudeau can reimpose them at any time he so pleases. The Charter is useless if Trudeau can just suspend it for any reason. A dictator who chooses not to use his powers as a dictator is still one.

This won't happen because we live in current year + 7, alas, but the truckers should add two new demands to their list. Require, at the absolute bare minimum, approval from the Senate and House of Commons to impose the War Measures Act (replace the name with whatever its called currently) - or just get rid of it entirely. And ensure that the rights the Charter provides can never be suspended by the government, for any reason.

If you watch the Senate hearing today you'll realize that it was basically a total disaster, I highly recommend watching it. Senator Donald Neil Plett gave one of the most incredible hour and a half long speeches in all of Canadian history, and the question period was literally SJW's going "but what about the privilege? what about all the privilege??", and he literally just says "no" in one answer, and "that has nothing to do with the Emergency Act".

It was just amazing, and then to TOP IT ALL OFF, our dear retard leader POPS RIGHT UP ON THE SCREEN to tell us "oh i'm going to end it now!!".

LIKE HOLY SHIT THIS IS JUST AMAZING.

Caving in like an utter cuck when it is obvious you did it just to avoid humiliation. Alpha approach would be even if you knew you weren't getting it, fight it to the bitter end and then denounce the Senate. Giving in like a weakling is just a reason to vote for the other guy next election around.
