Canadian Truckers Convoy 2022 - The Leaf calls you a Nazi as he gasses you

I don't know, I think it's pretty much a win.

1. Tamara Lich's charges are hilariously overblown, and I doubt they will get 10 years. The government's persecution will likely only rally people more, especially when you compare the Winnipeg Hit-and-Run guy got $10,000 bail. I'm sure they're getting another judge to review it as well.

2. The Lolsuit isn't going anywhere, in my ignorant opinion. So businesses are suing for...$300 million for their choice to close down, when other businesses stayed open (and are now being harassed by police over it? The few business owners that stayed open will probably take the stand and be all "Yeah we made bank due to the truckers. These guys should have stayed open".

3. I think the Freeland thing is more making crowdfunding platforms report to the Finitrac or whatever it's called. The seizing accounts without due process is not the power of the government. You can't just grant yourself such power without changing the laws.

4. True, the stated goals of the protest still are not done.

5. The money hasn't been seized by the government (no matter what the government thinks it did).

In turn, Trudeau did a massive about-face, and the protesters are more defiant than ever. Keep in mind...a lot of the money raised? Barely even touched by the protesters. Now the Canadian and Ontario government will need to justify why a Canadian registered not for profit corporation isn't entitled to the funds, and massive legal battles will begin, with the government already on the retreat.

The Emergencies Act was a hail mary that didn't even work. The truckers didn't leave. The government had to send in the police in full force. This was expected, but the excessive violence we saw on Friday and Saturday just made the RCMP, the OPP, and OPS look like jackboots. The RCMP Telegram leaks over the horse trampling is disgraceful. It's actually possible we can see more police going to jail by the end of this instead of protesters with the brutal violence caught on camera (seriously beating people while in your custody should be a jailable offense)

The government looks pathetically weak right now. International opinion is likely against Trudeau, and his actions have made a crisis in the financial sector.
Thanks for elaborating, but I never suggested that the GSG money had been seized by the government, just that it’s currently being held in a foreign bank account without a clear plan for disbursal. Could be that the info isn’t public but we’ll see.

The one I’m more worried about is the lolsuit, cause if the events of the past three (soon to be four) weeks have told me about the way the Canadian elite interpret the law, it’s gonna be an uphill battle for the defense.

Well worth the watch
Here's the clip of Chrysta Freeland admitting that the frozen accounts were for the purpose making people "listen to reason", not for preventing terrorist funding.

Why are they always speaking in French? Isn't most of Canada English-speaking? Shouldn't they be giving these important statements in English? It would be like Biden giving most of his speeches in Spanish.

Hey buddy, you seem to be quite upset right now. Here's a link to a resource that can help you with your anger issues.

They'll meet the same fate. The people of Ottawa don't want these convoy larpers around. Someday that reality will breach your skulls.
It's a little off topic, but is Neil Breen autistic or does he act that way on purpose?

Here's a retarded video of the NDP leader Jagmeet Singh playing Amogus with AOC, Hasan et al:
Jesus Christ, these are supposed to be our ruling class? Playing Vidya over Skype?

It's kinda weird that China approves these cities being built and doesn't also send a shitload of peasants to actually live in them. Like they're a dictatorship they can approve stuff like that right? And then the cities fall apart because noone is living in them and maintaining them. It's just bizarre to me someone can order a city built but doesn't decide to get people inside them, especially since people often tout that China can rapidly make decisions that would take years of political wrangling in the West.
Because even China knows it's retarded to move your farmers off their farms to become bugmen consoomers in bugmen hives leaving nobody to grow or import food into said hives.

I don't think he's your buddy, guy.

Jesus. So the precedent has been established that a literal war powers act can be invoked if the government considers the aims of a protest "unreasonable".

Thank God I don't live in Canada.

Aryan Kamala couldn't have given a better present to the plaintiffs in the upcoming lawsuits if she had wrapped it in wrapping paper and put a bow on it.

Here's a highlight.

The expulsion of O'Toole was among the most powerful things to come out of the protests, aside from the lifting of mandates in provinces other than Ontario.

I wonder if this CBC Reporter will keep their job after saying this.

Fuck you Poilievre, you did nothing but make a stupid youtube video after the emergency act went into effect. Absolutely useless lol

I don’t know why the troll is under the impression that the opinions of the people of Ottawa mean any more than jack shit. Oh noooooo, the bugmen hate us, whatever shall we do? :story:

Like, what did you think the goal of the honking WAS? It’s not like they were accidentally ticking off the locals with the sound of grilling and castle-bouncing. Obviously annoying the Ottawans with honking was the point, because Ottawans (like all city-dwelling bugmen) are smug pricks who need to be reminded who actually enables them to live the lives that they do.

French is a nationally recognized second language. Canadians learn it from early primary school all the way to graduation. The reporter asked the question in French, and it is polite (read: the Quebecois don't like English) to answer in French when spoken to in French. Presumably it is a Quebecois publication's reporter.

Don't think this has been posted yet: this video is being claimed to show the U.S. Freedom Convoy moving through California eastwards. Checked myself and judging from the highway sign that seems to be accurate indeed, they're on Interstate 15 (?) and exactly 150 miles from Needles, California. Lot of people showed up at the overpass.

E: whoops didn't see that there's a US thread, but I guess it's relevant here too
