"We have to defend our allies. We have to defend Taiwan. We get a lot of our silicon chips from Taiwan."
Why do we have to defend Taiwan, Tim? Why is it that you can mock the US for being interested in defending Ukraine "which is on the border of Russia, and we can't even protect our own border!" but not Taiwan? They are exactly the same. It is a powerful global threat retaking territory that belonged to it ages ago.
If you are anti-war, like you keep on claiming, you would not want war with China to protect Taiwan. But you keep making excuses. Oh, our chips!
This is the man who bought his own chickens. The man who rejects college outright and mocks people who go to it. The man who says "if you can buy a guitar, or you can buy a cloth, you can make yourself useful to someone and you will earn money even if you have to sleep on the dirt."
Okay, Tim. So why can't we just make our own silicon chips? Why is it that not having silicon chips means
war? Why don't we produce our own? Why don't we import them more from another country? Why don't we
innovate and start building cars without these chips so we don't have this problem anymore?
Hell, if worst really comes to worse, why don't we just learn to live without the chips, and instead of producing new cars every fucking year, we start focusing on repairing and refurbishing existing vehicles? That could be the start of a brand new industry that is much more efficient for the country and also helps us avoid this ridiculous inflation that is primarily caused by the growing price of new and used cars because of these chips we aren't getting even before China invades.
If you are really anti-war, you should be trying to explore every single option to avoid war with China. But you won't, because you are worried about South Korea. And you are willing to shed American lives to protect people you consider to be your family, even though the men who would die to protect them are your countrymen. Despicable.
