First news regarding the Ukrainian Air Force I've seen. I don't envy those guys... flying a jet anywhere in the east is probably a death sentence at the moment.

I don't think anyone in this thread thought Ukraine could take on Russia in any capacity, the speculation should be about what happens next. I have no clue what will happen but no doubt this is gonna be a crazy year for the world. I just hope this is not a precursor to WW3. I would expect a lot of propaganda pictures and videos coming out soon showcasing dead baby's, children and general civilians. I am also concerned about what China might do when it comes to Taiwan, I mean now is as good a time as any to do something in the upcoming months.
Not sure where I heard it, always 20 different websites i frequent, but I heard some claims China was gonna play nice but to be on the lookout after the olympics. It makes sense, but then again anyone could throw that shit out there.
China and Russia are friendly at least, so it might be a two pronged thing. Who fucking knows though, until it happens.

Is this really going to be some seven-hour-war-tier shit? Is Putin gonna just basically waltz right in and anschluss Ukraine surgically? Holy hell, are the armed forces there already routed?
Don't be that surprised. The Russians probably have been planning for such a contingency for years. They've probably kept up to date intelligence on Ukrainian military units and material.

Bunkers I can get, but underground train stations seem like a weird decision. Are they really a safe place to go when bombed?
Might not be safe, if you really can be safe being shelled on. But it's all they have.
>Gunfire on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border
>Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.N. @SergiyKyslytsya to Russia, current President of Security Council: "There is no purgatory for war criminals. They go straight to hell ambassador."

>#Russian MLRS hit near #Kharkov

In the scenario the USA commits itself to helping Ukraine I can definitely see China trying to grab Taiwan.
