I believe the area around Chernobyl/Pripyat is still uninhabited. The radiation could go elsewhere on the wind like it did last time but the levels are lower now so it wouldn't go as far probably.

Now that you mention it though I could see Ukraine blowing the containment dome themselves as a last resort "fuck you" move if they are completely defeated.

I doubt they're crazy like that. Everyone's going to steer clear of Pripyat, and I highly doubt anything explosive will be landing in it either. At the end of the day, both sides want Ukraine intact. They don't want the exclusion zone expanded to a larger area.
