the most hilarious part in all of this is that nordstream 2 was built so ukraine couldn't fuck with the russian gas flowing through them (how did that work out), and the party who wailed for decades about MUH NUCULAR MUH PLANET is now part of the government, thus holding the bag with exploding energy prices, post-covid depression, a war in the east and people sitting on worthless e-cars soon (good luck getting that charged).

See, when you phrase it like that, it seems really, really bad. It felt good to do all these stupid things at the time, and isn't that all that matters at the end of the day?

You know, if only America had its own pipeline that the current president could have let continue to keep America insulated from the costs of sabre rattling, wouldn't that have been nice if he always intended on playing games of chicken with Russia? Oh well, such a thing was never happening in the first place; only a dream.
