I'm smelling a rabbit hole here for sure. I doubt we're going to get the full story for quite a time.

Firing Rushia isn't just firing an employee, it's also getting rid of one of their most popular products. That much company damage can only be justified if keeping Rushia on would have caused even more damage, and we're easily talking about six or seven figures worth of damages. The real question is what did she leak?

I think either she leaked something that would have destroyed or severely damaged the public image of the company, or she fucked up in a way where they genuinely couldn't defend her because now it involves the law somehow. Whatever it is, that information is critical. If she just leaked a new gen debut, management would be furious but they probably wouldn't have even graduated her, she'd just be in time out.

Once people find out what the info was, that's when people will decide whether Rushia or Hololive come out looking like they were in the right.

I can't tell if they're crying because they're genuinely upset COVER is doing this or that what Rushia did really is that yabe and they're hurt that she did so. Or they're crying because of the good time memories and now its the bittersweet/sad times.

which will never happen unless rushia spills the beans, which I doubt she'll do (she might be a bit dumb, but not that dumb). and cover sure as hell won't.

which is another reason the announcement was stupid, sometimes silence is golden, now everybody will try to figure out what exactly happened what that information was, and most fandead when in doubt are gonna blame cover. that's why in cases like this is it's smarter to just take the blame if you get it anyway, a simple empty "we have decided to part ways yadda yadda" would still inform everyone without generating another shitstorm.
