Is this the prelude to an invasion while the world watches Ukraine?

If they are just now building up then they will either need to rush and strike half-cocked to take advantage of the Russian invasion or take their time, properly build up and strike when they are ready. But by then the regional powers would be prepped and geared for war too (if they aren't already). I think china missed the boat with this one.
