General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Twitter and Reddit are just stuck arguing over what constitutes a Termination or Graduation. So if the news wasn't bad enough, the discourse is going to be absolutely radioactive levels of insufferable for the foreseeable future.

Checked Koefficient's tweets because my hate-boner for him was acting up, and he's gone from calling Cover 'kings' for their barebones statement last week to blaming them for letting go of Coco and Rushia in a year. There's a lot of in-fighting even amongst his ilk of Holo tribalists.

Be safe out there, everyone. We have reached levels of Gay that we haven't seen for a year and a half.
Lmao was about to say, the EOPs are going fucking full tismo on the cover hate, some retards saying "lmao time to go to Nijisanjieee" (ignoring all the shit that has happend there becasue they're EOPs and the poop shit cum haha ENs dont have much drama yet)

Its gonna be a wild ride to see who crawls back into making cahntent for Cover talents because thats the thing that gives the money and clout compared to literally any other vtuber group out there, unless you're/know JP and can wiggle into being an artist for the much more watched JP Nijis

Sad to see it happen, but not especially broken up as Rushia wasn't really my thing for multiple reasons. At least we'll always have 2ManySnacks' AmongUs animation.

Aki's streaming some Castlevania-themed twin-stick shooter to over 8.5k viewers right now, so clearly life moves on. This is probably going to cause problems for HoloFes, though.

Seems like normal. People first come out with the emotional statement lashing out and blaming everyone and everything except the talent. Later when more information comes out people start making more rational comments on it.

Reminds me of when it was announced that Chris Benoit had "died".

He has a lot of connections and knowledge in weebsphere of things. Especially vtubers in recent years
Or he's talking out of his ass like everyone else and just reading what people post here/4chan/twitter related to the Korekore thing and using "my sources" to appear as if he is more important or knowledgeable than he is. Reminds me of how Nux always talks when in most cases he just pulls shit out of his ass.

Listening to Marine and Pekora crying kills me inside.

Ding ding ding, added bold for emphasis.
Even a pretty incompetent company wouldn't jettison their top moneymaker over a few leaked DMs.

That leaves two options: either they're stunningly incompetent on a level beyond anything they've demonstrated to date, or, Rushia fucked up something bigger that we don't know about.
The latter is certainly more plausible, but sadly with Cover's history I can't completely rule out the former either lmao.
The statement they put out makes them look pretty bad tbh, but if their hand was forced then it may have been the best they could do.

If we're getting into rrats already, then... yeah, doing something (anything) to put the other holomems' identities at risk would certainly explain both Cover's reaction, and the lukewarm reactions of her genmates.

FWIW, in the past I said something like: she played with fire and got burned. But so far, even if she caused the situation, that doesn't necessarily mean she deserved 100% of how far it's gone, so I do feel bad for her and I hope she comes out of it alright.
Unless she did actually put anyone else at risk, in which case fuck her and the twink she rode in on.
With Ayame being unmasked not too long ago, the holy grail of doxing right now is Subaru and Suisei who had been pretty much maintain high OPSEC. If Rushia really sell them out then this is it, her and that soy boy can go fuck themselves (oh wait, they are already living together and fuck on daily basis so nevermind)
They definitely would. It's why I don't get people simping on vtubers, especially the super popular ones. They're fairly one note. Rushia isn't super unique, her most unique aspect was her voice.

If Hololive owns all the character rights, I'm surprised they don't just replace her. Sure there will be some push back but you're handing the channel with a few million subs to a new person instead of trying to build them back up with some new character.
Vtuber voice is the 90% reason for their famous. This is why troon will never on the same level because you can chop off their dick but the adam apple will still make them sound like male or soy boy.
I don't think he meant cover...

if SC earnings and subs are your only goal, maybe.
meaning your oshi is on the level of the average twitch-thot where money is more import then the relationship with your coworkers, which also puts all the collabs under a very special light.
otoh would make the borderline robotic "please keep supporting me" tweets (why the fuck would the fans suddenly stop? the only drama was around rushia) now make sense from a narcissistic perspective.

still wouldn't explain the "PR damage" or leaking of information (which cover btw called "information of fellow business correspondents" last week) tho.

>implying pekora and aqua don't get it daily by random fuckbuddies
At least they can separate work and personal and not use work discord to DM their boy toy aka giving the boy toy the superior feeling of cucking the fan unlike that soy boy Mafumafu

honestly surprised she isnt suicideposting again like at the beginning, kind of commend her for that tbh
It's probably when all of her fuck ups are being unraveled by management, that's the point where dark thoughts are settling in. All her work for 2 years, all the milestone and her biggest sources of income are being grinded to dust.

After all that what else can you do, she already did counseling with Coco probably it works, and now she probably just felt bad to her coworkers and her fans because of her wrong move.

I give you four options. Fubuki, Haachama, Mumei, or Amelia.
not Calli?

She's also queen of opsec. Still no one even knows what she looks like.
The holy grail of Hololive dox, Suisei, and Subaru

The amount of last minute work it's going have to be done for holofest is given me anxiety just thinking about it, music number have to be scrapped o changed plus alot of promotional material has to be edited or just straight up thrown away.

Hololive Rushia Was Ejected.png

lmao

At least there was some sort of emotion finally. Had no expectation everyone would be in tears but it was still really weird how robotic it felt to have them basically line up and mouth piece it. Absolutely anything having shown up from the announcement onward really does lean into Rushia tying the noose herself. I don't think I'll ever feel that sad oomph I get when Coco pops up in regard to Rushia or anything like that. Maybe a minor reflective moment of "Yeah that kinda sucked. What a shame things happened that way."

If all the translated stuff throughout here was right, then I'm not sure what bigger fuck up there is to be had over potentially doxxing some coworkers. Regardless of if it leads to anything or not.
With how wrapped up it all seems on Covers end (barring maybe another comment or few from some EN/ID girls, which I kind of doubt anyway) the real thing to watch for now is going to be the fans. Or "fans" in some situations.

Actually how much Holofest stuff is gonna be thrown off to some extent? Do we know if the EN curse extends to delaying their 3D again?

"I want everyone around the world to understand how kind I am."

I'd assume there's some translation fuckery at play. in this entire tweet.
There is, the actual translation is "I want everyone in this gentle world to understand.", or perhaps "I want all the kind people of the world to understand."
In either case she's definitely not calling herself kind.

Yup. There isn't another JP company I can think of that hasn't had SOME level of weird controversy. Maybe 774 are clean? I'm not sure. Niji, VSPO, VOMS, ProPro, and even Holostars (with Kaoru's stealth termination) sure as hell aren't.

The problem EOPs have, and Holo fans in general, is that pretty much all of their members are blockbuster names. Not a single person can have some sort of issue without it being a major event; and even happy, natural graduations will feel like a killing blow to fans.

At the very least, I don't think THAT level of symbiotic empathy exists in other companies, so if a person was to decide that now was an appropriate time to look towards other companies for reasons revolving around attachment, then I wouldn't necessarily blame them. The people who take every piece of news like this to heart are probably going to feel like it's more trouble than it's worth. Some people in this very thread have said that X or Y member graduating is a death knell for the hobby.

Iunno I'd light someone's shoes on fire and piss it out if Kuku Kazami or Patra Suou were terminated.
