Lol the Ukraine is basically where Russia is in terms of trans rights. In both countries its legal to transition. Russia has the anti-promotion law, but that one is specifically about same sex relationships. The people being targeted in Chechnya are all gay men. Russia isn't great by any means but like, Hungary has explicitly passed a law ending recognition of trans people's chosen gender. They are waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy more vicious than Russia is, Orban is basically a Nazi and probably would have all gender variant people put into death camps, and they're part of the EU. And in Poland, the hoops you have to jump through for transition are enormous, because any surgery causing infertility is illegal. You have to basically prove to the court that you should be exempted from the rule. The idea that Russia some sort of Anti-Trans hub is bullshit.
