Russia was fine allowing Ukraine to exist as an independent nation as long as it remained neutral and demilitarized i.e. the status quo from the end of the cold war through the Trump years.
Asking for weapons and training from NATO is a sign of aggression and essentially the beginning steps of NATO integration. It was a very dumb decision.

Ukraine was would never be an independent nation if they had to outsource their foreign policy to Russia or face invasion dipshit.

Yeah, well, it's not the first time when Russia tried to influence Ukrainian politics. You probably might remember how it played out.
I do, and puppet regimes rarely hold up in the longterm. But you weren't asking if it would last a long time, you asked how one is installed in this situation and how it is given legitimacy.

The vegan shit was completely untouched. Even people facing starvation under the privation of war don't want to eat that garbage.

On an off-related or not-so related thread post to this I can't fathom what the prices would also look like at the Nunavut province of Canada and what their produce will also look like during this decade. All while the prices are inflating big time everywhere in the world. Geez.

Natofags squabblings over freezing a few bank accounts whilst the absolutely based God Emperor Vladimir Vladimirovich just casually rolls armoured divisions into a neighbouring country. This is the best geopolitical event of my lifetime. The Russians have recaptured Chernobyl. I’m going to stay up all night with snacks to watch WAR LIVE

Thank God I live in Florida and it's still spring. I should be able to make it through three or four months without electricity no problem. The issue is I need gas to use my grill and I won't be able to get money out of the ATM to buy a new tank of propane for $250

Well Biden is freezing all Russian assets in the US Banking system and seizing the funds.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is actually a pretty drastic sanction. Freezing is just that they cant use those assets and seizing means that the US government is taking them basically. Am I correct?

kek thanks for the laugh
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from consequences.
they don't have freedom of speech my dude
this isnt going as well for the Russians as they thought. The Ukrainian airforce still has local superiority over the capitol. Protests against the war in Belarus and Russia in multiple cites. multiple Russian planes shotdown (including 2 of their most advanced attack helicopters), and several videos of destroyed/captured Russian columns. some of the videos seem to show aftermath of close quarter battle with armor from both sides. i saw one with a ukrainian APC and Russian APC where they both destroyed eachother withing 30m. situation remains dire for ukraine.

Rumor on some Russian nationalist/conspiracy sites is that Putin intend to seize some of the oiligarchs wealth to pay for the war. take a grain of salt with that tho
that is also ukraine's stance too. all these videos with civilians really making me root that they hold on.

Why didnt Putin attack/invade during Trump's presidency? You seem to have it in your head that Cheeto Hitler would have basically let him do anything he liked, but he just didnt for some reason.
It's almost like Russia historically has been part of the Eurasian landmass and Asian leaders are known to show strength (to a ridiculous and brutal degree) in order to legitimize their rule. You would think a basic crash course in history would tell all US Presidents not to act like Russia gives a shit about courtroom diplomacy, yet here we are where Ukraine is about to get completely buck-broken by Russia and we have a literal senile retard of a president that's going to say bad things about Russia and put sanctions on them, while they start selling their oil and other natural resources to China from here on out. Fuck, politicians are retarded.
