I'm not an expert on Ukrainian politics but don't a sizeable number of them want to join with Russia? It's funny they keep ignoring that fact.
No. The opposite in fact. It used to be the large majority of Ukrainians wanted to be closer to Russia, Russia has made that the small minority opinion among Ukrainians now

Gotta be honest, the more the US and big media outlets say Russia's evil, the more I think Russia's probably the good guy here.
>implying they don't have their own misinformation campaigns going rampant now

It's funny how many people take the first info they see as granted, regardless which side it comes from. Russians could probably post some combat footage from '14 and no one would bat an eye.

Dissing invaders with cartoons on the internet, trying to crowdfund your war and get your enemies canceled on Twitter. I can't blame them for being desperate but what the fuck is this world. What the fuck has happened. We're all doomed.
It really feels like the Ukrainian govt. were trying to emulate the Taliban's effortless blend of memes and statecraft. The difference is the Taliban were winning.

Russia holds a lot more cards here than Nazi Germany ever did, and throwing bodies into a conflict, when we have a real fuckin' bad track record in the last twenty years of accomplishing anything with that, isn't going to fulfill some fucking prophecy about the mythical premature defeat of Hitler that people have written a million pages of pseudointellectual fan fiction about.
Thats because the army is run like the army of some communist shithole. the solution to losing so many wars is easy, end the army and pay mercs.
outsource everything to private companies, they are much better than the government at running stuff.

Artyom, Roman come over here. Put on Russian camo we bought off Alibaba and pose for POW photos, blyat. Here, put AK74 from 1980 left in Ukraine on floor, is very realistic, da.

If these are actual Russian prisoners and not Ukrainians larping as POWs, it looks like the fella on the right has been roughed up. Ukraine is autistic enough to both fake POWs and beat the shit out of real ones.
You need to stop listening to the Stronk memes. Russia's conscript army isn't as well kitted out as you think they are.

They are better off than the Ukraine. But nowhere near that of professional armies.

The Ukrainian ministry of defence is calling on civilians to throw molotovs from their balconies at advancing Russians and to take potshots at them with whatever small arms they might have.

Just accept the given surrender to end the war quick with little causalities -fog of war not withstanding- instead making the situation worse for your own people, at least Ukraine would be still standing in some form. Even Russia's people didn't know a war would happen and was protesting it too.
