Zachary Michaela is now "okay, it's chill whatever" with Amberlynn not liking him since he initially went off the rails simply because she expressed the mildest of displeasure with something he said and went from a stan to a conspiratorial reaction channel over night. It's fucking hilarious that Mx. Michaela is so obviously assmad that he was only rated a 2/10 while AiS was awarded an 8/10 in ALR's rankings. He tries to pretend he's just laying out an error in the rubric, but he's still assmad that ALR declined to be his faghag.

As usual, he's dishonest and dodges the point that he fed into the frenzied fatty slackjaws and knuckledraggers who he knows full well were bizarrely invested in the idiotic conspiracy theories surrounding ALR. He was perfectly happy to get his hands dirty to capitalize on the fat mob but wants everyone to forget that inconvenient point because it doesn't align with his preferred public image as a noble mental health advocate. So what did you intend when you started making videos about her? This is a false equivalence to Amberlynn. You cover every single thing she does, every single new revenue stream she tries to build for herself to lessen her dependence on Youtube. Reality TV contestants often have jobs outside of the shows they were on- Amber doesn't have anything else, you stupid fuck.

beautifully said, the both of you. the amount of mental gymnastics HN keeps going through to convince themselves they aren't bullying is laughable. bullying doesn't actually have to be intentional. that's not how that shit works. there are all kinds of harmful behaviour that a person can do and intention isn't always part of it. I don't think ZM set out with the intention of what ended up happening. But the thing is... this has been years of behaviour, not a single isolated incident. So what he can't explain away or skip responsibility from, is the fact that - regardless of intent - once all this shit got out of hand, and he knew he was sitting high up on the pecking order, he consciously chose to continue doing this for money and internet clout. that's what this all boils down to.

HN is always so quick to point out how other creators use their platforms. ZM could have stopped at any point and he never did. He still hasn't. so even if he set out to just have some fun with talking about Amberlynn, for years now he's seen the ramifications of his actions and he hasn't stopped. the only time they gave her a break was when she was diagnosed with cancer, and even then they made it about themselves, went right back to reacting once the cancer scare was done with, and now even use it against her i.e. "if even cancer won't get her to change, nothing will!" I didn't watch the full video but from what I did see it was multiple instances of ZM insisting he can't or won't take responsibility for anything. And he's so fucking tone-deaf he doesn't understand that the only reason he gets to do that is because of the good vs evil narrative he created (with him being one of the good guys). In any other context, how he feels about his share of responsibility has nothing to do with how responsible he is.

I think when it comes to normalizing the darker tone of reacting and commentary about ALR, I don't think that's purely ZM's fault. I think his hand in all this was being an example of making money and getting high numbers on social media simply by having an opinion about Amberlynn. I've said this before but I think it wasn't until MBP blew up that it became okay to make commentary that was more cutting, more personal, less kind. Then Charlie Gold showed up and whatever intention of "just for fun" went right out the window. those are the 3 major players in all this and Amberlynn has every right to call out the behaviour they've absolutely done and dynamics they created. They created the monster and now its out of their control. and if their braindead viewers didn't heavily rely on this kind of content to feel better about themselves, they would have all been "cancelled" ages ago. Oh yeah, exploiting that also makes someone shitty too.
