This lines up with stuff I've read from Inside the Soviet Army. Though it was written by a Soviet Defector in 1978 (And so it could be propaganda, outdated, inaccurate, or all of the above), it seems to line up with reports such as those. So I feel its worth bringing up in a time such as this.

Infantry yes, but the Panzer groups kicking off and driving that attack were largely motorized (like the Russians now). They weren't after eliminating the Minsk pocket and getting bogged down in the subsequent Smolensk encirclement of course, which is why I emphasized the Minsk encirclement.

Also all those extra soldiers really didn't do much to stop the Germans - wasn't until (again) Smolensk and especially Yelnya where the numbers really came into play. Same situation for the Ukrainians right now, numbers will mean shit if the Russians manage to cut then off and starve them out.

I find it amazing they claim 6 downed Russian jets but I have yet to see a single photo of any wreckage from Russian aircraft beyond the KA-52s that got knocked out.

Ukraine already gave Russia Crimea which is a vital area that supplies water and electricity in the Region, they surrender their nukes, and they voided and military escalations that NATO may provide and that still wasn't enough.
