General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

dear god what a day. finally got through the 40! fucking pages since last night. why did this have to drop an hour after I went to bed. anyway here is my two cents ramble on the rushia thing.

it is quite unfortunate that it ended this way. rushia was the first holo I ever saw and while I am not a fandead that's only because I don't know moon speak.

the vagueness of the official announcement, the corporate reaction from the other holomems and the timing of the announcent has me thinking something more went on behind the scenes. although I am not happy about it I am also a huge drama whore. from what we know that she has said I don't think that she has done anything bad enough for this kind of un-personing. seems a bit overkill. not that I am saying she isn't to blame because she is but I think a dishonorable graduation would have been better than an outright execution. I would love to know what she has said and to whom. might be pretty juicy especially if it involves other holos. we will probably never know with how tight lipped cover is about these things.

but then again cover doesnt have the best track record with decision making and pr. either way I hope this is the end of it and that rushia can find happiness and success as an indie or whatever she plans to do next.

Sometimes the curtains are just blue.

We have the drama-monger claiming to have received info from Rushia that even he was uncomfortable sharing on stream. We have admission from Rushia that she gave permissions for certain DMs to be shared to clear the air on the drama which backfired horribly on her. We have Cover biting the bullet a month before the biggest event in their company history to axe one of their most prominent, if not profitable, members for breaching NDA.

Even if we dismiss everything Cover says as lies then the only way Rushia is faultless re NDA here is if both korekore AND Rushia are lying.

Also sliding into her simp's DMs is kinda fucked up. Now everyone can point at high SC earners and go "If Rushia did it, then that means all Holomem do it too". Hololive is now a host club. Just dump a few max akasupas and Kiara will send you a message of her doing Asuka hot glue roleplay or something.

And some of you are reading too deep into Fubiki's clip. The "announcement should have come sooner" is more likely to mean "oh I thought it was supposed to come out at noon, not in the middle of our stream" rather than "we should have fired her sooner". But I guess pick the interpretation that fits your rrat more.

Side comment that, after a breach of some kind, the audit and assurance begins so no doubt all the other holomem are being checked to make sure they're on the straight and narrow. I wouldn't be surprised if a few get a slap on the wrist for something minor before it gets a chance to blow up.

I like how COVER has this weird duality. They can find good to great talents to fill out their ranks but are so shit at the whole HR/PR thing :story:

audits and assurances.. ooh speaking my language now

Tbh if COVER despised money so much that they made up a fake set of claims that could be considered slander and also made an entirely separate statement about not giving a shit about the personal lives of their talents just to kick out one of their biggest earners for having a twink boyfriend.....i think they would have graduated a lot more members by now, ontop of the whole thing that most of their other talents aren't even reacting that strongly to it, but i guess they were brainwashed.

I will point out that Rushia's manager had been in hot water before. Remember a long time ago during the EN debuts and she was still streaming. She got bombarded by chat about 'whether it was ok,' and other comments. Her manager was ghosting her and not the helpful sort. I remember some people in this thread also mentioned that her manager prior had seemed unhelpful. I have not evidence to that last statement, but if this is chronic behavior it would explain why she skipped her middle-man.
Cover management seems like trash, the only one i respect is the poor woman in charge of Korone's bazillion-hour streams and Haachama's weird stuff. They were useless in the case of Aloe and Coco and i imagine Rushia, feeling completely desperate, made a very dumb decision to try to clear her name. Until we get more proof i will keep believing that Rushia didn't intend to harm anyone and that she just was a dumbass. Cover just seems like a very shitty company.

Cover are not necessarily the bad guys here but people taking a JAPANESE company at their word should probably take a look at how much power PR has in companies and what they actually do.
Or I mean maybe people are looking at the situation, the events surrounding it, the details internal and external, and reached a different conclusion than you apparently have. The world doesn't exist on a dichotomy of "The company is wrong/dishonest or you've just blindly buying whatever they tell you"

Though I"m not terribly shocked that you're bitterly pounding sand over the fact that the world isn't trying to burn covercorp down right now given only 24 hours ago you were hoping for some PR retardation to follow a rushia graduation.

For the time being the situation seems to align with the idea that some sort of info leak occured leading to a breach of contract. there being this JP Keemstar faggot independent of Cover, talking about having insider info from Rushia while pulling in millions of views. Something cover can't control to shape a narrative, lends the idea a bit more credibility than the alternatives which are just "well you can't prove it didn't happen" add on top of this the Fandead posting DM contact with her, saying she isn't supposed to be doing it. All these incidents, some independent of the company altogether alongside what cover said, alongside the behavior of the talents themselves in light of the news. Starts to form a trend.

Maybe that'll change in the coming days, maybe it won't time will tell and opinions will shift when/if new information comes to light.

I really, really fucking hope Rushia is okay. I know she’s had problems with her mental health and depression in the past, and all this horrible shit happening to her at once makes me think she’s gonna do something that can’t be undone.
I doubt she’ll ever recover to be frank. She’s been in a shit mood for quite a while and this will stick with her for the rest of her life. Either she kills herself for all of this which seems plausible by each passing evidence or she died from her physical condition where she can’t stress herself or else she dies.

The hololive milk bucket has been spilled, it's busted, time for her to figure out a different container even if it's smaller. Maybe it won't be so heavy on her menhera brain....

Reminder there are other people to watch in the world (those blocked off aren't necessarily bad, just not decided on shilling them) Also, over 11 hours on the not-Lulu stream

Just watching Luca from NijiEN on Ironmouse's show, I've never watched him before but I immediately thought he sounded familiar. After hearing him do his female voice impression, I'm all but sure his past "life" was the small streamer and side-character Java from Roflgator's VRChat streams. Known for using that female voice and an e-girl avatar to trap new character's in the lobby on "dates" before revealing his true voice. I didn't find anyone else mention it in the thread so figured I'd share it in case anyone might care. Last streamed on his Twitch channel 3 months ago so given the debut in December the time's would just about line up.

A clip of his trap voice and real voice - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJCbiR86gQA

Twitch channel which is empty now - https://www.twitch.tv/javaaaa

The whole Rushia thing involve NDA just make me realize how Cover is subtle hint to the “untouchable” HoloEN that “fuck around to find out”.

Maybe they also specifically take a jab at Calli that though nothing wrong with being friend with Canur and the monke teams but don’t try to push the limit.

The end of Calli and the orange woman doomposting?

If she kills herself because of this that really will be the final straw for cover. Even if she is the one in the wrong. That would forever be stained oh their legacy. They fucked up, didn't help her AT ALL, then when she tried to help herself, she got fired and killed herself because she couldn't handle all of it.

And the girls know her personally. I don't see them taking it well at all either, plus the corpo messages they were forced to say. They'd feel horrible. Guilty.

It might not completely destroy cover, but it would severely damage their public reputation. Way more than anything they've done before
