Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you get read your rights only if you are under arrest or facing formal interrogation as a suspect/person of interest? I don't think cops tell a suspect or an innocent person that whatever they say to the world outside can be held against them. It is primarily to ensure that an interrogation is not seen as coerced or entrapment. Of course anything anyone says any time can be held against them in a court of law. If I say I'm gonna kill someone to my neighbor, and that someone turns up dead, my words can be held against me.

I suspect the "held against me" bit was simply Clotso quoting police shows for dramatic effect. She also told us that Nader is forbidden from talking about her ever again, which is not something the police would tell her; gag orders come from courts, not cops. Also, she said DeeDee isn't gonna be able to stay with Nader much longer, which would only make sense if the cops assured her they were going to arrest him. Again, it doesn't seem like normal police protocol.

I do concur with spectators who noticed she looked dazed and distracted (to the point of hit-and-run in the police parking lot, heheh), and I suspect that means that her powwo.w with the police did not follow the script that she had in her head. And she may well wind up in some kind of trouble.

1. A right to silence warning that must be administered to a suspect before questioning by law enforcement.

It's a basic protection for both parties (Officer and Suspect) that the suspect doesn't have to say anything if they so chose, but if they do, it can and will be used in a court of law.
