edit: Reine's streaming Pizza Simulator and is in very high spirits. The MV for her song "Love Me Love Me" that she released back in December also drops in less than 2 hours.

Well looks it slowing down now, acceptance seems to be settling in. Imagine the next few days in the Holo world being a bit stale, with EN not really around still at the moment and JP just carrying on like nothing happened.

Shit is exhausting to keep up with. Gonna dip out for a while and play Elden Ring all weekend, if I can get away with it. I'll pop in now and again but if something big gets dropped someone just @ me. No more missing out on happenings.

If you would reread my post, I think you'll find that all my assumptions are conditional and subject to change because they are assumptions and not statements of fact. I also take some umbrage with the assertation that I am 'falling' for something? In that post I am cautioning against attributing intent onto the ones involved in this situation without proof. I never once claimed that things have to be the way I assume them to be, but in light of everything we know, I have come to a reasonable conclusion that Cover likely terminated Rushia because of the reasons they gave in their announcement. I have no reason to believe otherwise, and until such a time comes I will operate under the equally reasonable assumption that they, as a corporation, would rather not snuff out an extremely popular and profitable revenue stream.

I deal with corp politics every waking moment of my miserable life. I won't be surprised if the company is the reason everything ended up like this, and I won't be surprised if they did everything right. I simply take what is given and attempt to make sense of it. I'd say that Cover has become too big too fast for their poor corpo jap brains to handle. They severely mismanaged Coco's situation in the aftermath of the incident, and they have made a litany of errors in their handling of other issues such as Mel's. I say all of this to continually point out that there is no way to truly know what happened, and anyone that claims they know without providing proof is just another rrat. Until then, we have exactly two official sources that can be used to find an answer. We have the Cover statement, and we have the Kore videos which lend credence to Cover's statement. So far, without any pushback or counter proof from anyone credible, I'd say that is as good as it gets for now, and you can draw whatever conclusions from those things until more information becomes available.

Qualia Qu of Re:AcT will be graduating in March.

I don't think there were a ton of Qu fans around here, but some of you may be familiar with her through her Apex collabs with Selen or Towa. Qu-chan is one of the strongest Apex vtubers around.

I didn't really watch her until I saw her collabs with Selen, but I'll miss her streams. She had a nice energy. My introduction to her was actually much earlier though, through her duet cover of "King" with Kurone Yomi, another retired Re:AcT vtuber who I had become a fan of thanks to her strong singing voice. Some of you may recognize where Kurone Yomi ended up (not implying that is where Qu is heading).

apparently, mikeneko(rushia) did a twitcast a few hours after her termination. she sounded more composed, so that's good. hopefully mio's prediction about rushia reaching a new level of maturity turns out to be true.
some discordfag's streamable link of said twitcast. don't know if this was actually before or after her termination though, but it sure sounds like she's slowly coming to terms with... something.

Haven't seen much of her, but girl_dm is one I've seen collab with others a few times before. Considering how she's an indie, I have no clue how her face/hand tracking is as good as it is. It's probably some of the best in the entire sphere, which is crazy when you consider that means her model quality is out-competing big companies with literal tens of thousands to throw around like Hololive.

Juniper Actias is also a pretty good moth girl v-tuber. Pretty fun personality and handles a lot of her stuff by herself. I've seen a couple clips of her "baby form" and her "full moon" form that come out as fun gimmicks from time-to-time.

I've mostly been pivoting towards indies or smaller companies like Phaseconnect lately. They just seem a lot more enjoyable to me, plus, some of them are really good and could do with a few more eyes going their way.

girl_dm seem to have one of those ugly ArtHack models, it might be great on the technical level I guess (probably it's just easier to do more rigging on a simplified model) but the style feels cheap, very far from anime and more like a facebook game avatar or something.

I can feel you if you get tired/burned out of all the drama, I also begin to feel it by now. Especially when everything is said and there is no new input so the discussion tends to turn in circles.
So here is something different: it seems Fubuki and Iroha are going to rate user characters in FF 14 in the next 1,5 h. They said before that they want to do something like this in the future since both love FF14.
