So everyone on reddit and on social media is saying they support Ukraine, and that Putin is evil and greedy and blah blah blah. And I am not going to say that Putin is a humane or moral leader, I'm no Russophile. If I'm being honest though, I'm having trouble seeing the Russians as the "bad guys" in this situation.

Here's an analogy: Imagine if Russia tried to make Mexico a close ally by propping up their government and trying to convince Mexico to join an alliance with Russia and China.

As long as there were no nuclear weapons, we'd embargo Mexico and let it do what it wants within its own borders. Maybe the occasional glow op but that would be it. We went through this already with Cuba.

Am I the only one who feels like we've been long overdue for a war? As tragic as literally everyone who has empathy or morality says this is I honestly feel like we needed a semi- important war for a while to... I dunno shake off some of this generations stupidity? I don't fucking know all I feel right now is that this war is a breath of fresh air for the first time in years.

In some ways bombing each other back to the stoneage and leaving about 10 people in each country wouldn't be a bad thing. The problem is that 8 of the 10 will be fucking useless without a keyboard, or afraid of breaking a nail, or can't grow anything other than their own hair.

It is a sad state of affairs in many ways.
