General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I might have misheard, but can anyone watching Millie's stream verify that she just said the money from her memberships goes straight to charity?

I don't know if she said it then, but she's said it before in other streams. She didn't want to divide her fanbase, so her membership is for charity only.

She said she makes enough from donations and other things to live on.

Fucking got whiplash when I seen this show up randomly on Twitter today, even though we have 11 million views and aren't exactly a niche area for people who follow vtuber drama. Also don't look at the rest of their profile, a lot of ☪️ content, you have been warned.

Man those guys on vt really are on top of things!

I checked that last profile to see if that person showed any kind of grudge against us but nothing immediately jumps out. I also didn't see anything jump out on the op's timeline...besides the lolis tongue punching each other's fart boxes. Maybe they really think it did come from vt and lack the ability to see that the formatting's different?
They're more likely referring/got the image to this thread where they used @seji post as the OP Image.

She has two membership tiers, and the more expensive one states that there's Member-only content, so I think she ran that part back.

But yeah I'm pretty sure the membership money goes to charity and she keeps the SC donations. Quite nice of her, really.

Ahh yeah, a bunch of her viewers were encouraging her that they didn't mind when she said it, so that doesn't surprise me.

She seems nice in general and has clearly been in a shit spot before, so it makes sense that she's on board with paying it forward I guess.

Though she is at fault for contacting a dramatuber and leaking sensitive information, the information she leaked wasn't to be spiteful or petty but to preserve her image and reputation.
The problem is doing what she did presents a two-fold problem. First, and most obvious, she's leaking information her employment contract explicitly state she can't talk about. Like it or not, She fucked that up. Secondly, it essentially acts as a vote of no confidence against Cover management. Whether correct or not, she basically says "I trust JP Keemstar to fix my problems and my image moreso than the management of the company I work for". And in Japan where unity and working for the collective good is such a major positive trait, that was bound to burn all her bridges.
Mafu is also an idol/singer himself, so Rushia got attacked by her own fans and his and while I understand Clover did make a statement saying her personal life was her own and they weren't going to be involved, it also feels like they hung her out to dry and more or less left her to her own devices to try to resolve the situation. I get the talents do have a large degree of independence, it seems like the company doesn't really have their back a lot nor does it seem like people actually do emergency meetings and the like to sufficiently resolve the situation without anyone having a breakdown.

Clover should know how hard antis go at their talents. Coco got harassed until her graduation and Rushia basically got attacked from all sides and was suddenly terminated when she tried to more or less prove her innocence... Which is really fucking weird that you have to prove your "innocence" in that you are not living with another guy. I feel really bad for Rushia in the situation because she not only lost her genmates (idk if they are allowed to maintain contact or anything) but she still has to deal with antis who aren't content enough that she was fired.
I see people state this argument a lot, but what realistically could Cover do to 'defend' Rushia? It was Rushia's own shitty opsec that got her into this problem in the first place. What could they have done to 'make things right'? This very quickly turned into an SJW-like Kafka-trap, where trying to plead innocence is further proof of your guilt. The only thing they can do is not apologize, ignore it, and wait for it to blow over.
Nah. She did this to herself. From what I understand, she has a deep, deep history of catering to the spergy fucks that went after her (Cover should've stopped that shit from the very beginning, so they, too, deserve the blame for enabling her).

Mafumafu is really the only innocent party in this. Dude got fucked over by his girl and the overall industry since he caters to a lot of Fujoshits, and his record label knows it.
And this is the real part that made me go from "Well, that really sucks for Rushia, but people should realize she's playing a character" and change my mind to "Wow, this bitch might actually be doing this all completely maliciously". Sending hidden personalized messages to a select few of her biggest paypigs has GOT to be the biggest high ever for those poor love-drunk addicts. That's something that really crosses a major line in my mind.

That was a nice Pippa stream. I hope someone captures it.
Thinking of clipping the incest part.

>Puerto Rico
>Culture
Pick one and only one.
Culture is there but most of it gets overshadowed by monkeys who produce verbal diarrhea known as reggaeton.

My tomboy hispanic wasp very little coomer stuff long random rants and chatting comfy wide eyed vibes, if you are looking for gameplay she has a tendency to uhh forget about playing the game she has to chat with her chat at lenght on random stuff
I have watched her a few times and she's great. Also her model is adorable.

To add to the list of Non-Holo vtubers. Chloe has some gameplay but it seems she focuses a ton of ASMR.
I'm (half) Puerto Rican and I was visiting family then.

(I can't speak Spanish that well though.)

Anyway it's nice to see at least one VTuber is from PR.
Watch Reimu. She's Colombian and that's basically the same shit as Puertorrican. Hell save for a few differences in the language, most latinos are the same.

So Yesterday or this morning depending on where you live Ame posted:

Just earlier her mama tweeted:

Maybe she's going to announce her 3D debut, pre Holofes?
I'm pretty sure she is probably recording her performance for the HoloFes. Kiara mentioned a few days back that she was helping Ame dance in 3d by using the models from their Valentines day video.

I always find it interesting that for being a site that has a mostly negative reputation on the Twitter-sphere people do love coming here to get their information.

Cover could not have publicly did anything to defend Rushia because they are only responsible for 'Rushia' not 'Mikeneko'. Also if they did they would be getting hate for not doing so when Aloe, Towa, Coco and Haachama were in trouble. Sure they might have told on a personal basis to just let it blow over and possibly make a comeback during 3rd fes which would have actually worked but after all the Korekore streams and her twitcasts they would be forced to investigate shit. Remember that the actual decision to fire her was likely taken quite a while ago and the statement takes time for approvals and stuff.

That being said, NDAs usually have hefty fines/punishments for breaches and if Cover isn't suing her for whatever she did it just shows they still have some amount of goodwill for what she built in the past two years. Sure they can always do better as a company but I feel like they've handled this better than previous things with the Taiwan and Aloe incidents.

What with current events (both Hololive and... elsewhere), and the fact that she's supposed to be chaos incarnate, this tweet hits a little differently.

Haachama is still based it seems. I wonder if she knows about all this insane menhera stuff Rushia attempted to pull on the company, and that's why she's just been claiming her stuff and generally being a little more disrespectful towards her possessions?
Whale Watch status
Is it weird that I have formed a parasocial connection to the whale during this, and I want to see how it plays out for him in the end? Whale watching is currently my favorite pastime during this debacle.

Or prevent it from being destroyed. "You can't destroy it. It's Haachama's, not Rushia's"

I cant believe a timeline in which I'm analyzing anime girls action on a minecraft server, but freeing her animals doesnt sounds disrespectful to me. The disrespectful way to do it would have been through a lava bucket

Nazino was even kind enough to give us the green screen.

update from my favourite autistic ORCA
He archived every video where Rushia replied to his comments, good lord, what drives someone to be this obsessed with a 2D girl.

deepL:
I'm working on capturing some of the comments and responses from Orca-san before her channel disappears.
So I thought I'd try to capture some of Orca's comments and responses to my spacha before her channel disappears, and I'm working on it now.
While I'm working, I'm remembering so many things that I'm crying. ......
Really precious memories!
On KiwiFarms you're gonna criticize him for archiving? This might be the least insane/obsessive thing we've seen from Orca lol

KoreKore is having a stream right now with an English and Chinese translator.
He's trying to clear everything up for the waves of overseas people coming to his channel.

Apparently this screenshot came from Rushia

Random updates:
1. Rushia was "bullied" by a Senpai who is good at FPS games
2. She told Cover about this bullying and apparently they rejected her.
3. Apparently she said on her Twitcast that her genmates basically ignored her when they found out she was getting fired and the stream on Pekora's channel was management/corpo mandated
4. KoreKore was given more private messages by Rushia that even he thought he never should have had
5. She was told to sit down and shut the fuck up by management, she took this as bullying and went straight to KoreKore to resolve the Mafumafu drama.
6. Basically had a meltdown, burnt out from Vtubing, and wanted to drag Cover down from the inside

Random things:
>her manger told her to not contact Korekore
>she's claiming that her senpais are bullying her without any proof, once again without any proof
>the dm's with her fans were without approval from the company
Well shit... if any of that is even close to true, that would definitely force Cover's hand.

I don't trust drama channels, but considering she admitted communication and sending "something" to him, it seems the at least the screenshots are likely not faked.

If the reason she supposedly felt "bullied" was because someone streamed at the same time as her, is anyone among us autistic enough to analyze Rushia's stream times in the latter half of 2021 vs her senpais' stream times?

It's the opposite for me. The more I read the more it seems to me that Cover is at fault. If this were a normal company, sure, it's on her, but this isn't a normal company.

They are employing young women, who have autism, who use the internet too much, who make way too much money, who recieve way too much attention, who go from literal nobodies to globally recognized celebrities. It's a recipe for disaster.

Then, one of them fucks up on a Friday. The internet explodes, people are slashing her image on vehicles, burning her merch, cancelling their memberships, and disparaging her everywhere. Oh, she's homeless too.

Their management technique? LOL it's a long weekend, we'll deal with it on Monday LOL

Their statement, released on Monday February 14th

What was management supposed to do to help their multimillion dollar talent during an emerging situation? More than literally nothing.
Well actually I do agree that telling her "lol wait til Monday" is a retarded decision from management, that's still veeeerrryy bottom rung on the list of "things that caused this shitstorm to spiral out of control".

Amiya Aranha's MGS just started too:
Can't watch this because the Among Us collab is happening at the same time, but I popped it open for a sec, and... holy shit, 95 concurrent viewers on a channel with only 4k subs? Is it just me or is that super high? Maybe she's one of the few not getting affected by the CCV bug.

What with current events (both Hololive and... elsewhere), and the fact that she's supposed to be chaos incarnate, this tweet hits a little differently.

Maybe something happened behind the scenes that we'll find out about shortly. Working on a cover and just heard the final version? Got some merch approved? IRyS proposed to her IRL? Roberu body pillow arrived in the mail?

Kurusu Natsume's light novel got published yesterday.
