Can we get a poll on who’s on whose side? I can see at least five options:
1. Ukraine
2. Russia
3. Neutral Pro-Ukraine
4. Neutral Pro-Russia
5. True Neutral
6. Pro An-225 Mriya

I guarantee you there are a lot of people out there who just want to see this beast survive the war. ✈️

Go ahead. Some of you edgelords are so brain rotted, you completely forgot that it's okay to feel and show emotion, yes, even on the Internet. Not everything is "SO COOL AND EDGY AND LE IRONIC AND COOL".
I think the issue is, and I can only speak for myself, not whether people here have a lack empathy or trying to be LE EDGY IRONIC COOL or whatever, but rather beholding the spectacle produced by spergs experiencing a nuclear meltdown in a thread, akin to what we had in the Chauvin trial or the 2020 US presidential election threads. This thread too is shaping up to be goldmine in that regard as far as I'm concerned.
There's showing emotion and using the place as an emotional tampon. Go hug the wife.
Exactly!

5. From a historical and cultural standpoint I believe it is tragic that Russians and Ukrainians ended up killing each other (again), and since they helped my people back in the 90s I have sympathies for both in general. But in this instance I have no investment either way. I'm mostly interested in seeing how this turns out and where things go from there.

So everyone on reddit and on social media is saying they support Ukraine, and that Putin is evil and greedy and blah blah blah. And I am not going to say that Putin is a humane or moral leader, I'm no Russophile. If I'm being honest though, I'm having trouble seeing the Russians as the "bad guys" in this situation.

Here's an analogy: Imagine if Russia tried to make Mexico a close ally by propping up their government and trying to convince Mexico to join an alliance with Russia and China. Then America retaliated by invading Mexico to remove the Mexican government in response. Of course the situation would be very unfortunate for the citizens of Mexico caught in the crossfire, but would America really be the bad guy in protecting their self interests in such a scenario?

That's basically how I see the Ukraine situation. If there's a "good guy" here it's the citizens of Ukraine who are in this situation largely through no fault of their own. Everything else is just strategic arguments between NATO and Russia over who gets to add the area to their sphere of influence. And again I'm no Russophile but in this specific case I think NATO pushed a bit too far, and Ukraine dun goofed by entertaining NATO too much.

I cant fucking believe how many retarded takes like this appear in this thread. When invading Putin didnt even mention NATO. He said that goal of this invasion is denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine. Because Ukraine is currently genociding Russians.

How the fuck this is reasonable? Do you believe that there is Russian genocide in Ukraine?

This is an actual war, not a BLM party.
They are slavs, there isn't really much of a difference.

also if Boomers knew how to War then Iraq&Afghanistan wouldn't have lasted past 2003.
I would counter with the opinion that the wars lasted so long specifically because the boomers know how to war. The goal of Iraq and Afghanistan has nothing to do with winning or bring democracy and human rights to those countries. They were intended to be forever wars to keep the MIC chugging along and keeping those boomer stocks high.

Display of emotions is human behaviour. Just because it's a custom to be detached on the Internet, does not make your emotionality for the topics of interest bad. In fact, it makes you more human.

NATO is just being cautious after the Russians continue to make threads against neighboring states, should they try to get involved. It's what they do. NATO wasn't obligated to help Ukraine, but it is obligated to help them.
NATO is a useless fossil that only exists to enrich the parasites attached to it.

Just like the UN.

Just like the EU.

Just like Joe Biden.
