General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I wonder if she knows about all this insane menhera stuff Rushia attempted to pull on the company, and that's why she's just been claiming her stuff and generally being a little more disrespectful towards her possessions?
Hachi is an odd ball, not stupid. Hell, I'm sure she knows MORE about this situation than anyone that's active on this thread. I'm slightly inclined to say this was just her way to say farewell without holding that "it's shit, but I'll keep working hard!" spiel every holomem has done so far when touching the subject. or you know, taking the piss out of it for fun.

If the reason she supposedly felt "bullied" was because someone streamed at the same time as her, is anyone among us autistic enough to analyze Rushia's stream times in the latter half of 2021 vs her senpais' stream times?
I'm not going to analyze but considering most of JP usually streams around 8-10PM JST including Rushia and Aqua, I'm sure there was overlap. But... like I said, it basically overlaps with 50% of Hololive. She must have despised a lot of members if that's true. And it'd be weird if she chose the most socially inept person as the one that bullies her. I will admit that Aqua pulls in a lot of viewers when she streams, but so does Pekora. Who again, also usually streams around 9-10PM (along with occasional early streams).

Haachama is still based it seems. I wonder if she knows about all this insane menhera stuff Rushia attempted to pull on the company, and that's why she's just been claiming her stuff and generally being a little more disrespectful towards her possessions?
Maybe she looked back on that time she couldn't appear on Matsuri's 3D live, only to appear in Rushia's and thought "I strained my friendship with Matsuri for this?" Could just be her messing around, she didn't free the pigs.

Cover could not have publicly did anything to defend Rushia because they are only responsible for 'Rushia' not 'Mikeneko'. Also if they did they would be getting hate for not doing so when Aloe, Towa, Coco and Haachama were in trouble.

I don't see how them not being responsible for 'Mikeneko' prevents them from doing anything. At this point the identities of most of hololives are open secrets, there isn't much wrong with acknowledging that to help support their talents. Kinda like how Kizuna Ai officially confirmed her identity to end the speculation about having changed her main VA.
Not having handled an issue properly earlier isn't really an excuse for not handling it in the future either.

It's pretty clear that Cover didn't recognize how serious the situation was from at least Rushia's perspective, else they would have done more than just put out a single statement until things got to the point where they had to fire her. Being more of a talent agency, Cover has a two-way relationship with its talents, so regardless of how menhera Rushia is, more proactivity from them could've done a lot to prevent this. A 30 year old would definitely be responsible for the consequences of eg, a drug addiction, but if that person is providing millions in revenue to a company, the company intervening and getting that person help early on is much better for the company than letting things devolve until they have no choice but to fire them.

At the size Hololive are at, it's hard to suggest that the avatar is separate from the person behind it given how much of their life is affected by it (regardless of how representative their vtuber personality is of them irl), so I don't see any reason for Cover to not step in to help them out irl since it directly impacts stability for the company.

Does this simp spread more missinformation or he actually did his reps on this topic? Also that comment just show how "fans" have NO FUCKING IDEA a company/agency in JP or EN works.
I will never understand how TTS is still allowed to do Nijisanji collabs after the absolute disaster that was the infamous GMod collab that they organised.

It was an abortion the coathanger couldn't save. It really was the best example of why vshitshow shouldn't have been allowed to collab with them.

There was A LOT of yabs when this happened, including copyrighted maps getting played which led to the VODs getting nuked.
That was pure undistilled western vtuber cancer, like the worst case scenario in a multi-agency collab made real. For one Niji is at fault here for still let the door wide open to them, maybe their strategy is to pander to that demography but JESUS.... It makes hard to love nijiEN in this conditions (i cant blame the talents tho, its most a corpo decision), at least in holoEN i can skip Calli & Kiara and watch peacefully the rest who are aware of the dangers of being too close to that side of the western market.

The biggest piece of evidence agaisnt rushia being the victim of evil bad corpo is how seemingly uninterested the other talents are, that to me speaks volumes about this whole thing.

The main reason i never really got into the Nijis, they are a lot more similar to western indies than what im willing to watch.

Kurusu Natsume's light novel got published yesterday.

There is actually a very wholesome story to how all this happened.

Last year, Amamiya Kokoro finished making her Grand Library in the NijiJP Minecraft server, and started inviting other members to come in and fill the inside with their stories during this stream.

This spawned a series of streams that one could call the 'Minecraft Novel Arc' (にじ文豪 Niji Bungou - Niji Literary Master). If any of you have seen that clip of Belmond dying inside as he read Ange's raunchy fanfic of him, it came from this arc.

This saga drew quite a lot of attention; most particularly Kurusu Natsume, whose writing was not only praised by a lot of members and viewers, but also an Editor at Kadokawa, who was watching her pen the story and decided to reach out to her directly.

Aaaaaaaand now we are here. Kurusu Natsume is working with Ookami Mio/Nishizono Chigusa's mama to make her own story. Pretty much all of this can be attributed to a group effort to humour Kokoro's idea and generate enough buzz to get people engaged. The Domino Effect is wild.

1. Rushia was "bullied" by a Senpai who is good at FPS games
I really hope it's Aqua, because the idea of a menhera gone off the deep end getting insulted at the comment of a socially awkward onion is hilarious.
I'd like to remind people coming up with rrats that you're not limited to senpais actually good at FPS it can be anyone Rushia believes is good at FPS. My rrat says it's matuli.
Good point, she thought Coco was good with technology because she knew the keyboard shortcuts to copy and paste.
Fucking got whiplash when I seen this show up randomly on Twitter today, even though we have 11 million views and aren't exactly a niche area for people who follow vtuber drama. Also don't look at the rest of their profile, a lot of ☪️ content, you have been warned.

I will always find it hilarious that Twitter fags hate Kiwi Farms until the exact moment shit goes down and they need to rely on us to compile information and make sense of things.
Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but if there is any truth to the "bullying senpai" RushiRrat, then I'd say the person is Matsuri and it's probably related to the haachama snubbing her drama (that they recently 'made up' about):

So, maybe there was a bit of bad blood since Haachama snubbed Matsuri's pre-record but still did Rushia's?

All the info in the comment was taken from Matsuri's tweets on her roommate's account, so that's what I'd guess, if there's any basis of truth to it.
I would not be surprised at all if Rushia made some snide comment towards Matsuri, she clapped back hard because she's a loudmouth, and Rushia ran off crying to management.

KoreKore is having a stream right now with an English and Chinese translator.
He's trying to clear everything up for the waves of overseas people coming to his channel.

Apparently this screenshot came from Rushia

Random updates:
1. Rushia was "bullied" by a Senpai who is good at FPS games
2. She told Cover about this bullying and apparently they rejected her.
3. Apparently she said on her Twitcast that her genmates basically ignored her when they found out she was getting fired and the stream on Pekora's channel was management/corpo mandated
4. KoreKore was given more private messages by Rushia that even he thought he never should have had
5. She was told to sit down and shut the fuck up by management, she took this as bullying and went straight to KoreKore to resolve the Mafumafu drama.
6. Basically had a meltdown, burnt out from Vtubing, and wanted to drag Cover down from the inside

Random things:
>her manger told her to not contact Korekore
>she's claiming that her senpais are bullying her without any proof, once again without any proof
>the dm's with her fans were without approval from the company
Just when you think the last cinders are about to go out, more info comes and reignites the bonfire.

If the reason she supposedly felt "bullied" was because someone streamed at the same time as her, is anyone among us autistic enough to analyze Rushia's stream times in the latter half of 2021 vs her
If it was Nov 2021 and if real, it wasn't Aqua, she quit fps and basically disappeared from streaming after failing solo masters the first time and didn't come back in strength until Jan 2022. I'll look over stream times for others when I get home.

edit: Having found more accurate translations, Korekore didn't specify anything about FPS. That part came from Narukami, who I trust literally zero on a story he doesn't break himself. I've dug around and don't feel there's really anything to the stream overlap thing, Aqua did use Rushia's typical slot for a while but the more I look the more I'm certain that whoever it was, it was all in Rushia's head.

Kiara Eldin Ring trip report:

Displays all the classic beginner mistakes of being too aggressive and spam rolling to try and dodge stuff. But there was definite improvement over the course of the stream. Mamatori and Calli even showed up to give pointers to her as she tried.

The first boss of the game is apparently one of the hardest 'first' bosses of the game series (Compared to Phalanx, Taurus Demon, Lost Giant, Iudex Gundyr, Cleric Beast, or Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa). I haven't reached it yet, so I can't personally attest. I've definitely seen tons of streamers needing to slam their head against it for a while. Kiara's best attempt towards the end:

Overall, chicken did well. Hope she's not too discouraged and keeps up the attempts.

It's the opposite for me. The more I read the more it seems to me that Cover is at fault. If this were a normal company, sure, it's on her, but this isn't a normal company.

They are employing young women, who have autism, who use the internet too much, who make way too much money, who recieve way too much attention, who go from literal nobodies to globally recognized celebrities. It's a recipe for disaster.

Then, one of them fucks up on a Friday. The internet explodes, people are slashing her image on vehicles, burning her merch, cancelling their memberships, and disparaging her everywhere. Oh, she's homeless too.

Their management technique? LOL it's a long weekend, we'll deal with it on Monday LOL

Their statement, released on Monday February 14th

What was management supposed to do to help their multimillion dollar talent during an emerging situation? More than literally nothing.
The problem with this thinking is you're assuming the meme of "Yagoo's House Of Broken Girls" when not all of them are like that.
Menhara or not, if you leak private information, that's on you. As an actual autistic person myself, if I was told I got a pass for my deficiencies instead of getting treated like a normal employee for a pretty major fuckup. I'd feel even worse.

I feel like people are also glossing over the fact that Rushia's manager did make a call to remedy the situation. That being to stay put and wait for it to blow over like Towa, Calli, etc. In hindsight too that actually is the right decision but if what Korekore is saying is true than Rushia basically ignored what her manager told her to do because she perceived it as a form of "bullying" and went to him behind her Manager's back out of sheer stupidity and desperation. At that point the only way her manager could have stopped her was to take away her internet like a child getting grounded.

Maybe Hololive terminating Rushia can also be a case study for Niji. I remembered how some Niji members accusing Niji playing favourite with their top earner Kuzuha and effectively turn the blind side to Kuzuha bullying others as well as misdemeanors etc.

Imagine those small Niji will do a "Me Too" campaign against Kuzuha and see how Niji handling their top-tier cash cow Kuzuha. Will they terminate the dude or play favourite (more on the latter since that's how Niji are)
You know I was wondering how someone would make the whole Rushia situation somehow about Nijisanji. Nice effort.

Well let's look the options, disregarding whether they are actually good at fps or not:
Gen 0: Only Roboco even plays FPS. She also mostly keeps to herself, so seems doubtful.
Gen 1: Matsuri seems like the most obvious choice. Also really the only choice in Gen 1. Haachama has been playing more FPS since she got back from Australia, but definitely not enough to be known for it.
Gen 2: Aqua is easily the best fps player in Hololive, but the idea of her being the bully and not the bullied is laughable.

Honestly, it just seems to me she is making shit up in her head. She seems to be trying to justify being passive aggresive and manipulative to people. Anyone who threatens people with suicide all the time is generally going to be a hugely manipulative asshole.
